The default request class, Ens.Request is fine for our initial workflow.

We want to define other workflows that will reuse the same BPL class. These workflows would send messages inbound to the BPL as different request classes.

Is this possible or is it required that we send in a request class matching the context request class in the context tab?

Hello Community,

When I compile the Sample.User class for the first time, and include an ObjectGenerator method intended to run certain logic during each compilation, it throws a <CLASS DOES NOT EXIST> error. However, recompiling the same class works as expected.

I understand this happens because the class hasn’t been fully compiled yet during the first pass. To overcome this issue, are there any specific callback methods available that can safely be used after the class is fully compiled?

Why This Matters

Managing IAM can be tedious when done manually — especially when your APIs are already well-documented using OpenAPI (Swagger) specs. Wouldn't it be great if you could automatically generate Kong services and routes directly from your OpenAPI spec?

That's exactly what this ObjectScript method does: it reads an OpenAPI 2.0 spec stored in the XData block of your spec class and generates a decK-compatible YAML file that can be used to sync your IAM configuration.

Hi,

I'm trying to run some scripting in Windows. I'm using an instance of the IRISHealth community.

I'm just trying to run a simple sequence of commands so I can run irissession in a non-interactive mode, like:

irissession.exe IRISHEALTH -U "%SYS" < "myprogram.iris"

Introduction

In my previous article, I introduced the FHIR Data Explorer, a proof-of-concept application that connects InterSystems IRIS, Python, and Ollama to enable semantic search and visualization over healthcare data in FHIR format, a project currently participating in the InterSystems External Language Contest.

In this follow-up, we’ll see how I integrated Ollama for generating patient history summaries directly from structured FHIR data stored in IRIS, using lightweight local language models (LLMs) such as Llama 3.2:1B or Gemma 2:2B.

The goal was to build a completely local AI pipeline that can extract, format, and narrate patient histories while keeping data private and under full control.

All patient data used in this demo comes from FHIR bundles, which were parsed and loaded into IRIS via the IRIStool module. This approach makes it straightforward to query, transform, and vectorize healthcare data using familiar pandas operations in Python. If you’re curious about how I built this integration, check out my previous article Building a FHIR Vector Repository with InterSystems IRIS and Python through the IRIStool module.

Here is an option for your headspace if you are designing an multi-cluster architecture and the Operator is an FTE to the design. You can run the Operator from a central Kubernetes cluster (A), and point it to another Kubernetes cluster (B), so that when the apply an IrisCluster to B the Operator works remotely on A and plans the cluster accordingly on B. This design keeps some resource heat off the actual workload cluster, spares us some serviceaccounts/rbac and gives us only one operator deployment to worry about so we can concentrate on the IRIS workloads.

Overview

This web interface is designed to facilitate the management of Data Lookup Tables via a user-friendly web page. It is particularly useful when your lookup table values are large, dynamic, and frequently changing. By granting end-users controlled access to this web interface (read, write, and delete permissions limited to this page), they can efficiently manage lookup table data according to their needs.

The data managed through this interface can be seamlessly utilized in HealthConnect rules or data transformations, eliminating the need for constant manual monitoring and management of the lookup tables and thereby saving significant time.

Note:
If the standard Data Lookup Table does not meet your mapping requirements, you can create a custom table and adapt this web interface along with its supporting class with minimal modifications. Sample class code is available upon request.

To manage the accumulation of production data, InterSystems IRIS enables users to manage the database size by periodically purging the data. This purge can apply to messages, logs, business processes, and managed alerts.
