A customer would like to connect an IRIS database to Metabase BI. But Metabase does not have a connector that supports the IRIS database.
Metabase only supports these databases:
- Amazon Athena - BigQuery (Google Cloud Platform) - Druid - MongoDB (recommend version 4.2 or higher) - MySQL (recommend version 8.0.33 or higher, as well as MariaDB version 10.4 or higher) - Oracle - PostgreSQL - Presto - Redshift (Amazon Web Services) - Snowflake - SparkSQL - SQL Server - SQLite - Vertica
I have a stream property which uses %Stream.GlobalCharacter and I set some dummy texts like "a1a2a3a4a5a6a7...."(more than 1024 characters) in to that stream and the stream values are not compressed. However, The streams are compressed If I use the Lorem ipsum is a dummy or placeholder text or other text "This is part four of a long memo." which length is greater than 1024
If several application servers are connected using ECP, and one of them create many locks, so many that lock table became full :
Should we expect only that application server to be impacted ? (usually, when lock table is full the system became instable). Or, are other application servers going to be impacted the same way ? (because that lock table is synchronized and maintained in sync across all servers)
I've created a website and set the path to my csp pages in Web application setting and can populate all my .cls zen pages with no issues but when it comes to CSP pages I always get sent back to login page am I missing something in security ?
Every so often, I would encounter a request for some GPG support, so I had several code samples written for a while, and I thought to combine all of them and add missing GPG functionality for a fairly complete coverage. That said, this Business Operation primarily covers data actions, skipping management actions such as key generation, export, and retrieval as they are usually one-off and performed manually anyways. However, this implementation does support key imports for obvious reasons. Well, let's get into it.
I am excited to share that the Learning Services team has recently added new content to our InterSystems Reports Learning Path. These latest videos, created by our partner, insightsoftware, provide instruction for developing reports with InterSystems Report Designer.
I thought I knew how to return a Response from a Business Process back to the Source Config Name, but I guess not.
I am working on a Proof of Concept, that the Request Message Class would determine a "Route" within a Business Process to make a FHIR call (search, read) to our External FHIR repository, and return back the HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.xxxxxxx as a Response to the Source Config Name.
I'm using the below to populate a tree to just show the root with a folder icon but whenever I click on a folder it loops back to the original folder, how can I disable the root folder from expanding to the next, I only want to show the main opened root folder and not to go any further?
The Certification Team of InterSystems Learning Services is excited to announce the release of our new InterSystems IRIS Development Professional exam. It is now available for purchase and scheduling in InterSystems exam catalog. Potential candidates can review the exam topics and the practice questions to help orient them to exam question approaches and content. Candidates who successfully pass the exam will receive a digital certification badge that can be shared on social media accounts like LinkedIn. If you are new to InterSystems Certification, please review our program pages that include information on taking exams, exam policies, FAQ and more.
RabbitMQ is a message broker that allows producers (those who send a data message) and consumers (those who receive a data message) to establish asynchronous, real-time, and high-performance massive data flows. RabbitMQ supports AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol), an open standard application layer protocol. The main reasons to employ RabbitMQ include the following:
You can improve the performance of the applications using an asynchronous approach.
It lets you decouple and reduce dependencies between services, microservices, and applications with the help of a data message mediator, meaning that there is no need for producers and consumers of exchanged data to know each other.
It allows the long-running processing of sent data (with the results) to be delivered after utilizing a response queue.
It helps you migrate from monolithic to microservices, where microservices exchange data via Rabbit in a decoupled and asynchronous way.
It offers reliability and resilience by making it possible for messages to be stored and forwarded. A message can be delivered multiple times until it is processed.
Message queueing is the key to scaling your application. As the workload increases, you will only have to add more workers to handle the queues faster.

I have an Embedded Python method, which is essentially a call to one third-party module.
Most of the time, the method takes <0.1 seconds to execute, but sometimes it takes 30 or 60 seconds.
The server is relatively idle (20-30% CPU load).
How can I debug this issue further? Ideally, I want to know where this library spends the time. The library is mainly Python code (it's boto3, so it's not a Python C API proxy library).
What is the recommended library for converting documents to pdf. Any suggestions welcome has anyone out there had a use case where they had to convert documents to pdf .What worked for them .I have asked WRC for the best practice and they have recommended that may be a sale engineer might have an answer to this .
In your Interoperability Production you could always have a Business Operation that is an HTTP client, that uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication, but you had to customize the Operation for this authentication methodology. Since v2024.3, which was lately released, there is a new capability, providing new settings, to handle this more easily.
VSCode is the most used IDE in the world. It is strategic have more extensions for VSCode for InterSystems technologies to keep increasing the developer community.
