Cache for UNIX (Apple Mac OS X for x86-64) 2016.2 (Build 619U) Thu Mar 17 2016
After deleting a class on the server, Atelier still wants to believe it exists. I even deleted the project and the server. After re-creating them, it still believes the class exists. I log in with studio and it shows the class has been removed.
If I attempt to open the class in the server explorer, I get a null pointer exception, but I can open any other class.
According to Databricks Apache Parquet is an open source, column-oriented data file format designed for efficient data storage and retrieval. It provides efficient data compression and encoding schemes with enhanced performance to handle complex data in bulk. Apache Parquet is designed to be a common interchange format for both batch and interactive workloads. It is similar to other columnar-storage file formats available in Hadoop, namely RCFile and ORC. InterSystems announces its second preview, as part of the developer preview program for the 2023.2 release. This release will include InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems IRIS for Health.
It's well-known that Studio and probably VS Code have options to expand ObjectScript commands and functions to their full names (Ctrl-E and Ctrl-Shift-E in Studio), therefore some methods to accomplish this should exist. The question is: how to do it programmatically?
Now that I have SAM up and running, out of the box I would like to add some Application Metrics. Does anyone have templates, or have suggested classes that someone could use to add custom metrics to SAM? Maybe we should start a repository somewhere? Or would someone be willing to share custom metrics on the Open Exchange?
What I am looking to do is capture the overall HL7 message and header count per day.
I am taking a look at some legacy coding as it seems to be generating an error when processing the messaging. The message being process contains a PDF which we are transforming into a stream and sending to another system.
I have noticed this issue only occurs with PDFS that are roughly 2800kbs in size or above. All other PDFS process fine.
The error that it is generating is proDOCMAN BPL Error: 5002 : Cache error: <MAXSTRING>zS2+72^pacDOCMAN.proDOCMAN.Thread1.1
after updating from 2018.2.1 to 2021.1 we observe a change in the behaviour of the Messagebank Enterprise Monitor.
In 2018.2.1, when clicking on a specific line inside the configured systems the system dashboard opened, giving insights about queue counts and error conditions.
In the previous part of this series, we saw how to include data in a portlet from within DeepSee. This used the built in data controller. In this part, we are going to be pulling in data from outside of DeepSee. This will include both information from within InterSystems IRIS and from the OS.
Why use this?
This is useful if you would like to create a dashboard that only contains information about your system. It is also useful if you want to display data about your system along side data that you have stored in DeepSee.
I have a custom written date, setup as myDate in my application, which always behaved fine for years, and now it's acting a little weird.
When I run SQL in Display mode the date shows as 1/10/1841 for some but not ALL rows.
When I run the same exact query in logical Mode the date shows normal format, in my case, for example 10/1/2019. When the application is running is shows the incorrect date. When I run the terminal session and open a ref point and ask to write a date is shows 10/1/2019, but I am expecting internal format here - 65287.
Environment: Cache for Windows (x86-64) 2017.2.1 (Build 801U) Wed Dec 6 2017 09:07:51 EST Platform: Windows Server 2016 We have mapped 6 Databases for Shadowing to shadow/backup server with same kind of environment and platform. The process for shadowing is growing or keeps on running in back round, not sure whether it will die or not - refer screenshot
We want to know how many process does cache instance will take for one database shadowing
I need to copy a bunch of globals from some crufty old databases to spanking clean brand new ones. GBLOCKCOPY has this cool feature that lets you create a batch of global names to copy and save the list in a batch. You can then execute the batch and go take a nap.
I like naps.
I need to do this for a number of old-new database pairs, but it's the same global names every time. Is there a way to export the batch configuration created the first time and import it to another environment/namespace? These databases will be spread across multiple hosts.
Hi! I have a local project written on Cache and Atelier on my PC. I need to move it to notebook. Tried to export globals, classes, MAC-programms and csp with frontend stuff, but after I created my apps on notebook and imported my set, it just didn't work. I think it's because I have some settings on Management Portal, so how can I export portal settings and what I should export to have my working apps on another computer?
I have a call in a business process that returns a response which may contain a collection of error message. I use the following code in my response builder to extract the messge value from the first error and map them to a context variable:
Set context.ErrorMessage callresponse.result.GetAt(1).errors.GetAt(1).message
A global provider of mobile telecommunications software tested the performance of InterSystems Caché and Oracle as the database in a simulated data mart application. They found Caché to be 41% faster than Oracle at building a data mart. When testing the response time to SQL queries of the data mart, Caché's performance ranged from 1.8 times to 513 times faster than Oracle.
FOREIGN TABLES is a rather fresh feature in IRIS (2023.?) So I was motivated to try something new by own hands. Documentation of Foreign Table from File is a good starting point. Also the related promotional video is fine to start with.
I have recently created a HA by "Cloning" the existing server. Everything worked fine until I have to failover the Primary in order to process. The Backup Failover member successfully promoted to the status of primary. Everything was working fine except on one of the Services, I receieved the following error message;
> ERROR #6156: No match between server name 'Test111b.domain.local' and SSL certificate values 'Test111a.domain.local'.
Our next Developer Meetup will take place on July 26, 17:30 pm at the CIC Venture Café in Cambridge.

I am playing around with trying to make an Epic REST API call from an operation, and from what I understood because the request has to be sent as POST, I need to send the request as JSON. However when I try taking the request and running %ToJSON against it for the payload to be created I am getting an error...
