I am stuck with simple logic. I have a below string

set a="<Name>ABC</Name><RollNo>45</RollNo><Name>XYZ</Name><RollNo>66</RollNo><Name>xyz</Name><RollNo>89</RollNo>"

I need logic to replace the values of roll no with "***". Is there any single command which can help in this scanerio.

I need to store this value in database after replace.

I see command shortcuts for getting journal details, like Status^JOURNAL for displaying the journal status.

And, I'm using the shortcuts in my shell scripts.

I'm not seeing/finding command shortcuts for getting database details.

If anyone have those details, please share with me.

I would like to schedule the Database Compact and Freespace methods as legacy tasks.

Has anyone implemented this yet?
Is this even possible?

The request for this is due to the fact that we have 3 interfaces in a namespace whose messages are deleted after 7 days. All other messages in this namespace should be kept for one year.
This leads to a certain fragmentation. Furthermore, the messages to be deleted are relatively large (MDM^T02 > 32MB), which in turn leads to a fast growth of the database size.

How would you solve this problem?

I work on deploying IRIS inside Docker container. I really like %Installer class can automate many steps. I want to establish an ECP connection to a mirror database and then define a remote database on the application server. I have already seen we can create local database and namespace in %Installer. What code is needed to establish ECP connection?

for example :

SELECT TO_CHAR('12/31/1840','mm/dd/yyyy') ---01/12/1841

I expect the result to be 12/31/1840. Let me know If there are any suggestion to get the correct result.

I would like to know if there is a way of having a callback or something similar, on persistent classes that is always called after the execution of the operation (failed or successfull).

%OnOpen is executed prior to the action, and there is no post callback

%OnAfterDelete and %OnAfterSave are executed after a successfull operation

I have a set of strings that contains special characters. Im trying to write a sql query to remove all the special characters in the string. Im using Intersystems cache sql.

Hi, we have mirrored databases, now we have three nodes. Primary, backup, async. They are sync by journals and with some TB each node (expensive storage).

I would like to have a scenario where the two nodes (Primary and backup) have the same amount of messages (purge task of x days) , both as failover, but the asynchronous node should have more messaging, as much as the storage allows us. We want to use this node so provider can give support(search old messages), but not have databases in production that are so large that they are hardly consulted.

Any ideas?

Is there a way to query the database structure? In SSMS there are queries for finding tables with a column with a certain name (using LIKE). And there is the redgate tool SQL Search. But I'm not sure how to go about looking for columns that have say a value of 'PATID' and returning all tables that match. Does anyone know?

My project need to restore the previous part of the log, and I use the rountine "^JRNRESTO" and filter. After recovery completed, the table structure is restored, but the table data is not restored， also unable to insert data into the table.

Greetings community. I would like to know how to migrate a BD in production to a local environment. When I have a system in production (BD Sql Server) what we do is mount a local copy to do the analysis with the data and not occupy resources of the system in production. My question is: How do you do it with Intersystems technology?

Is there a way to estimate compaction / truncation sizes? For a DB when trying to reclaim disk space.

Basically, is there some utility or CLI command that would allow us to estimate if it is worth the effort of compacting a large database or not.

I have a list property that I query from the database to get the values contained in that list using $LISTFROMSTRING() when the list is returned the list values contain a rectangle like character similar to when you copy past something to the Terminal and it has a preceding space .The problem is I need to compare those values to other values and they do not match because of this value I have tried to use $EXTRACT(value,*W) and *P but this is not striping the preceding character how do I get rid of this character any ideas please.
