Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to export projects via VSC?

I opened the project through the "InterSystems Tools" plugin (command is "Edit Code in Project") and I can correctly work on it.

However, when I try using the "ObjectScript" plugin to export the project (right click on the project -> "Export Project Contents")

This message appears and it is not possible to export the project:

I've tried also to open a new window, then a folder and finally the project, but nothing changes.

This is an example of my workspace:

Anyone knows how to do it?

Thank you!

Hello everyone,

I’m facing issues with replicating data from my Caché 2016 database to a PostgreSQL database. I need to handle around 300 data updates per minute, and whenever certain tables are modified, those changes must be reflected in other databases.

So far, I’ve tried various approaches, including:

  • Setting up an intermediary API,
  • Using Azure Service Bus,
  • Leveraging Caché Jobs,
  • All of which rely on table triggers as the entry point.

However, each of these solutions has led to performance bottlenecks and system lockups.

I have three different methods for exporting classes and projects as XML files, but each one produces slightly different output:

  1. Studio (what I currently use for exporting): I export as a project (with the 'only project' option disabled). This generates all classes and the project in a single XML file.
  2. VS Code: This method only exports the classes, and it doesn't include the project in the XML file.
  3. Console export using %SYSTEM.OBJ.Export: I used the following command to attempt the same export as Studio: do ##class(%SYSTEM.OBJ).Export("MyProject.Prj, MyProject.*.cls", "TempDir/MyProject.

Hi everyone,

We have successfully configured the Patient Index and are now looking to bring it to upper environments. Our plan is to export the Linkage Definition and import it into higher environments to avoid any manual work. However, I am having trouble finding an export option in the Linkage Definition Designer and locating the globals that hold this setup.

I would greatly appreciate any tips or guidance on how to export/import the Patient Index configuration between environments.

Thank you in advance!

Is there a way to use the %JSON.Adaptor to project readable JSON when a property is defined as a %Integer but with a DISPLAYLIST ?

Class User.CExampleJSON Extends (%RegisteredObject, %JSON.Adaptor, %XML.Adaptor)
{

Property something As %Integer(DISPLAYLIST = ",OK,Error,Warning", VALUELIST = ",0,1,2") [ InitialExpression = 0 ];

ClassMethod RunMe()
{
      set obj = ..%New()
      set obj.something = 2

      do obj.%JSONExportToString(.string)
      write "JSON : " _ string,!!!

      write "Content  : " _ ..somethingLogicalToDisplay(obj.

Hi,

I have an odd problem that occurs when I'm trying to import lookup tables in the XML format into Studio.

I store my files in in C:\CodeRepository.

I can manually import these lookup tables using "Import local..." option in the InterSystems Studio.

However, when I'm trying to import them using command in terminal: do $system.OBJ.LoadDir("C:\CodeRepository\","ck")

I'm getting the following error:

Loading file C:\CodeRepository\Title.lut.xml as xml
ERROR #5863: Another user has 'Title.LUT' open for editing.
  > ERROR #6315: Errors reporting importing XML subelement in file

Is it planned that LOAD DATA takes into account several DATE/DATETIME formats with, for example, a parameter indicating the format used in the source data?

example :

LOAD DATA .../...
USING
{
  "from": {
    "file": {
       "dateformat": "DD/MM/YYYY"
    }
  }
}

We are retiring a hosted application for an electronic health care records (EHR) system which stored the data on Cache for UNIX (Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86-64) 2017.2.2 (Build 867_4_20245) Thu Oct 8 2020 16:58:40 EDT.  The hosting company is providing me with a single CBK file.  I need to install a database system to restore the database and provide occasional SQL access for reports when necessary.  I'll need to maintain access to the data for an approximately 10 year retention period.

It can sometimes be useful to list or export all of the subclasses that are derived, directly or indirectly, from a given class. In Studio, the Class -> Derived Classes menu option will show such a list, but I'm not aware of a built-in API for programmatically exporting their source code.

Yesterday I wrote some code for exporting derived classes, and I'm thinking about cleaning it up and putting it on Open Exchange. But if there's a simple way to do this that someone has already figured out, I'd be happy to know about that (and help others find that solution) rather than reinventing the wheel.

Exported contents of a namespace on one server (classes, include files and lookup tables). Importing that code into a newly created namespace on another server. Both servers Ensemble 2018.1, same build. Export was via InterSystems Studio. Export is around 18Mb in total (XML file sizes).
When importing and compiling on the new server, getting errors as below - with #6301: SAX XML Parser error prominent - on a number of the imported files, all containing data transformations or business processes.

Is there a command that will loop through the flat files of a given Linux/Unix folder?  I can write the code to open and read each file. But the file names are unknown. I am looking for a way to access each file given a named Linux folder. The files have differing structures so a record map will not work.

Thank you for reading and thank you even more for answering!

Hello,

I'm currently struggeling with a HTTP request to a URL, which contains an jpeg image file.

Testing the request with a browser or Postman results in the image being shown normally.

Using a %Net.HttpRequest with different configurations has resulted in a corrupted file.

My code works for some URLs from other servers perfectly fine, but with some it produces corrupted file contents which do not represent a jpeg.

 REQ,STATUS,RET
 Set REQ=##class(%Net.HttpRequest).%New()
 Set REQ.Server="www.distrelec.de"
 set REQ.SSLConfiguration="agimero.quwiki.de"
 SET REQ.FollowRedirect=1
 SET REQ.
