Hi Developers,
It's December the 1st! And this means that the Advent of Code 2019 has been started!
And you are very welcome to participate in the ObjectScript contest!
Hi Developers!
For those who want to participate in the Advent of Code 2019 and code with ObjectScript in IRIS, I created a very simple but handy Github Template.
Use the green button

to copy template in your own repo, clone the repo and run in the repo folder:
docker-compose up -d
you will get InterSystems IRIS 2019.4 Community Edition running with the template classes to load input data from files and Day1 solution.
This is also set up to start crafting solutions of Advent of Code 2019 and edit, compile and debug ObjectScript with VSCode addon.
Happy coding with Advent of Code 2019!

Continuing on from my last post, I am posting my succesful output for the Day 2 Part 1 below.
A full explanation of Day 2 part 1 can be found at: https://adventofcode.com/2018/day/2 and the input can be found
at: https://adventofcode.com/2018/day/2/input
A brief description of this exercise is that you receive a sequence of strings.
You have to count the if any duplicate or triplicate chars exist in the string. Multiples will exist, but if you find multiple ldupicates / triplicates you will count them once.
I know it's late, but I really love the advent of code theme each year to find some project ideas to go out and code something and push myself.
I had the intentions of completing the AOC 2018 before the new year, but I've got 2 young kids (1yo and 4yo), so most nights I just want to sleep.
I've been looking at this on my half hourly commute each day before and after work.
So whilst doing this, I found not many people had posted what they had done and in previous years.
Hi Everyone!
As you know Advent of Code 2018 is in full swing! Till the 25th of December 2018 each day 2 programming problems to sharpen your programming skills!
And now we're ready to present great prizes for Members of InterSystems Global Masters Advocate Hub!

Hi Community!
We try a new approach to the InterSystems Developers YouTube Videos called "Coding Talks"!
Coding Talks is a short video in which the developer demonstrates a particular feature or functionality of InterSystems Data Platforms which he/she uses to in coding. Typical format: the face on side and editor with ObjectScript.
Check this video I made by myself participating in Advent of Code 2018 and coding with InterSystems ObjectScript in VSCode.
Are you ready for the next Advent of Code this year?
Just a few days left, the first puzzles will unlock on December 1st at midnight Eastern Time.
Not sure if I will manage to find time to solve those puzzles as quickly as last year, but hope some of you will do. We still have our leaderboard, you can join 130669-ab1f69bf. So, we will see who the best.

This is (the end) of a series of programming challenges for beginners and experienced Caché programmers.
For an introduction : go to article https://community.intersystems.com/post/advent-code-2016-day1-no-time-t…
This is the 25th and last challenge of the 2016 series of Advent of Code.
In this challenge, you have to send a signal out, using the assembunny code interpreter that we had to make in earlier challenges.
There is one extra instruction added to the assembunny language, which outputs a value (out x).
