Good day,

I need to find out if it is possible somehow to receive actual linux TIMESTAMP for example with $NOW() or other functions.
I was trying to recalculate it with $NOW() function, but without success. I would like to simulate Redis TIME command in COS.

My tryings:

USER > set time = $NOW()

USER > w (($PIECE(time,",",1)*86399) + $PIECE(time,",",2))
5573319043.403186

But in Redis it is:

0 7
0 640

What is difference between using a command $classmethod rather than just invoking them straight away?

For example if i need to call a class and its method i can just use like

do ##class(circle).radius()

rather than using

do $classmethod("circle",radius)

(I suppose both of them doing the same function i am not aware of it)

Please help me understand what is different and is there any specific usage.

Correct me if i have made mistake.

I was wondering if anyone has combined ZEN Web Development with frameworks such as W3Schools W3.CSS Framework or the popular Bootstrap Framework?

We are currently using Caché 2013.1.6 so we do not have ZEN Mojo installed which ships in Caché 2014.2 or later.

What would be the recommended approach if looking to integrate one of these frameworks?

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

Hi,

We have a application developed in CSP and JS. Is there any way to make this application available in multiple language like Spanish etc.

We are ready to re-write the code in Zen also if it supports that feature.

Could any one of you please assist/advice a Solution to reach the required goal using Cache technologies, it will be a great help if someone has any sample code for the same.

Thanks

Paras

I am trying to capture the write of a method to test the response in an unit test. I know everything works because one of my colleagues ran the code and did not froze on his machine.

I don't what is the cause of the freeze. I know that at line Use $io::("^"_$ZNAME) it stopes because i have put some write functions after every line in WriteCapture method and i only saw the first write function in terminal

I also used debug and in this case it didn't froze

"SELECT %SYSTEM.SQL_TableExists('table name') "could work as expected under SQL shell,

but for "CALL %SYSTEM.SQL_TableExists('table name')" does not work (not any error reported, it just show nothing).

Is there any reason why CALL could not be applied to a stored procedure?

Thanks.

I realize that Cache Studio is the standard method to edit routines. However, some clients make it difficult to access their server that supports Studio. Is there an editor that can be run from the programmer prompt that allows simple WYSIWYG editing of routines? I know there is a %Routine class that you can use to do command-line editing, but I am looking for a full screen editor.

What was the standard in OpenVMS Cache before there was Cache Studio?

Thanks!
Bryan

Is there a way to omit or skip rollback of some data changes during a transaction rollback? Maybe some sort of "autonomous transaction"?

The issue is with error logging in transaction. For example we may have in nested calls the following structure:
TS
<some code>
<error happens>
TRO 1
<error log to database>

but if this code is in another transaction, and that rolls back we lose error data.

Hello,

I’m creating a REST API service but I need to convert my object in JSON.

The Class “A” is extended from another Class “B”:

Class message_B Extends Ens.Request
{

Property ClientId As %String(MAXLEN = "");

Property mesagge As %String(MAXLEN = "");

}
Class message_A Extends message_B
{
Property idDate As %String;

Property Datetime As %String;

Property time As %String;

}

Hello Community,

I recently encountered a issue with Caché and I can't figure out where the problem is coming from.

I noticed that the license limit (200) was reached whenever I was opening my Studio (so it seems). When this occurs, I restart Caché (with the Cube in the Taskbar), and the number of license used is back to 1%, but grows back after. The time taken before the number of license grows back again looks pretty random.

Here is a couple of screenshots :
