In Episode 12 of Data Points, we took a slightly different approach! Hear insights from three different guests — Jenny Ames, Gary Maggiolino, and Joey Moritz — about the creation of the all-new chat feature found on multiple InterSystems sites. You can see the chat bot in action on both the Getting Started site and all InterSystems IRIS or IRIS for Health pages on the InterSystems corporate site.

Hi everyone. We are a team of company "Constructor" and we develop cutting edge cartographic systems. Recently the amount of image data skyrocketed so we want to give our users the ability to tie images to places automatically. For that, we want to use AI/ML technologies and we have a cool task for you.
I'm working with VS Code on Centos 8. When I install the ObjectScript extension the installation succeeds, but the InterSystems icon never appears in the left-side panel. I can change settings for the extension - set the server info, etc. No errors show-up in the VS Code debug log.
UPDATE: the same thing happens on MacOS when using VS Code 1.46.1 and InterSystems ObjectScript extension 0.8.6
Can anyone suggest next steps for me to troubleshoot? Is there another log I should check?
How do you allow accented chracters to flow through the engine without erroring out? I read something about adding a "!" in MSH-18 to accept the default coding, but now it gives me an error about "No translation table found". Does InterSystems have anything out of the box to account for accented letters? Does this need to be coded?
In Episode 11 of Data Points, UX designer @Ksenia Samokhvalova joins the podcast to talk about the approach to user experience at InterSystems, how it may differ from commonly considered UX concepts, and what her team is doing to constantly improve usability with the developer's goals in mind. If you'd like to take a quick survey to get involved with UX testing for InterSystems technologies, you can do that here!

In this InterSystems IRIS2020.1 Tech Talk, we’ll focus on using InterSystems Managed FHIR Service in the AWS Cloud. We’ll start with an overview of FHIR, which stands for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, and is a next generation standards framework for working with healthcare data.
You'll learn how to:
provision the InterSystems IRIS FHIR server in the cloud;
integrate your own data with the FHIR server;
use SMART on FHIR applications and enterprise identity, such as Active Directory, with the FHIR server.
We will discuss an API-first development approach using the InterSystems IRIS FHIR server. Plus, we’ll cover the scalability, availability, security, regulatory, and compliance requirements that using InterSystems FHIR as a managed service in the AWS Cloud can help you address.
I'm trying to consume a REST Service that use Digest authentication, I'm trying to implement the authentication but I'm don't know where is my mistake.
Someone have already used this type of authentication.
Below the code I wrote to try to generate the response hash:
A few months ago I touched on a brief note on "Python JDBC connection into IRIS", and since then I referred to it more frequently than my own scratchpad hidden deep in my PC. Hence, here comes up another 5-minute note on how to make "Python ODBC connection into IRIS".
I want to deploy Iris Interoperability Production in multiple containers . The production has File Services that process files from EFS location. All the files being processed by multiple containers are in the same directory. The standard Adapter class does not have Check Complete option to lock a file so that other containers File Services looking in the same file path cannot process the same file.
I updated the Inbound File Adapter class to offer another Check Complete option LOCK that will lock the file until it is processed and archived.

I am writing this article to tell about the application "CRUD-GLOBALS-IRISNATIVEAPI-JAVA" which is developed as part of "InterSystems IRIS Native API programming contest". The intention of this application is to manage the Globals which are in IRIS instance through java program using IRIS Native API. To use this application basic knowledge of CACHE Globals structure is required.
In this application as of now we have options to Create,View Globals and Data Search in Globals. Update and Delete will be added in next releases.
A lot of developers like to work with Studio and have been looking into source code version control such as GIT or into enabling modern development workflows like CICD or DevOps processes.
This article describe an elementary solution to get you started in CICD and DevOps, even if you are not yet ready to move to Atelier or forth coming VS Code approach which enable client side source code version control.
