Is there a way to get [ Internal, Private ] property?

I have a class defined like this:

Class test.ABC Extends %RegisteredObject   {

Property myProp As %Binary [ Internal, Private ];

}

Is there a way to get a value of myProp from outside of the object?

I can't modify or extend the class obviously.

Simple WorkMgr example

Attached code contains a very basic $system.WorkMgr example.

It uses several jobs (workers) to update different chunks of rows of a table.

Steps:

Creates a table with 100 records.
Split table in chunks
Initialize WorkMgr and queue chunks to workers.
- Every worker simply sets its process number in the Job field of the processed row.

In this case, I have tested the example in a 8-core laptop:

Can't save Json String to SQL Table

Hi everyone,

I need submit a object have a json string as property of class, but I get an issue, object can't save to SQL table if I take json data to json property. I try making a test class with only json property and get the same issue, no data row in SQL table after run ClassMethod . Some one know what's problem, please help me. Here my test class:

Convert %ArrayOfDataTypes to array, and back again

Here's an easy one for you; before I spend another hour looking for the answer, how do you convert %ArrayOfDataTypes to an array (that could, say, fit into the %session.Data array, or maybe just some array named info()), and of course back again?

Working with a list of Serial Objects over ODBC

Hi all,

I have a non objectscript application connecting to a cache instance via ODBC and one column is a list of serial objects. The output from the query contains a lot of special characters and I'm hoping there's a better way to get this data back so I won't have to perform extensive parsing on the application side.

I've tried using the $ListToString() function, but that didn't help much, probably because the list contains complex objects rather than primitives.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Better Unit Testing Strategies for InterSystems Caché Development

Good morning people.
The use of TDD is currently being reference for software delivery more confiabilitade and quality.

At the company I work developing web applications , we create tests for method class in a deteminado package and running the steps that the documentation recommends:

1 export the tests classes to a predefined folder.
2- And running the test ( D ## class (% UnitTest.Manager ) .RunTest (,"/nodelete" )

It is a lot of work to do the export and run these tests would have a resource that we could only run the tests without the need for export ?

Generic way to test if all the propertiers of an object are null

I need a generic way to check if all the properties on an object instance are null. Has anyone got some code they could share?

I could of course add a method to each class and pass in all the properties and test them but I'm sure there must be a generic way to do this. A generator method perhaps?

Unable to store (or rather retrieve) OREF in globals - Trying to create a Singleton Class.

We are trying to create a simple class extending %RegisteredObject that could be used as a singleton. However we are not able to store it in a global to later be retrieved (by the same process but elsewhere in the code).

Hi Guys,

I' am using Cache Object Binding for .NET, our Cache Version is Cache for Windows (x86-64) 2010.2 (Build 454U).

Is there a SQL Storage Map GUI in Atelier (any version)?

In Studio, you can open the inspector and view the SQL Storage Map on %Persistent classes. Can you do this in Atelier or do you have to read the XML text? If it doesn't currently exist, are there plans to include it? The inability to perform certain functions in Atelier that can be done in Studio can be a 'point of conflict' when asking/forcing/encouraging developers to move to Atelier.

Navigating through relationships via SqlComputeCode

Hi!

I have a global-mapped class that I want to add a transient property through (or at least, not stored on the database). This property is the sum total of various charge classes that are linked to the class via child relationships.

I want this new transient property to be visible at least via SQL.

%Library.GlobalCharacterStream deprecated

On the class reference %Library.GlobalCharacterStream is marked as deprecated in favor of %Stream.GlobalCharacter.

How I can migrate the data from class properties defined as %Library.GlobalCharacterStream to the new one %Stream.GlobalCharacter?

Does the %Stream.GlobalCharacter have the same SQL support from %Library.GlobalCharacterStream?

Store property coming from a json array

Hi,

I know there are several alternatives, but I would like to find the easiest & simpler ones to store data coming in Json format from post requests and also allowing me to do SQL queries.

I want to have a property called favouriteColors. I want to store a few colors, and I want to be able to do queries to get top favorite colors, etc... so not handling the list of colors as just a fixed string or fixed object.
