InterSystems has encountered a defect that causes some upgrades of HealthShare® Health Connect to fail. This only affects instances that are not licensed for the use of FHIR® and that have interoperability-enabled namespaces. Under these conditions, the upgrade fails with an <HSFHIRErr> error.
This defect only impacts upgrades to version 2024.1 of HealthShare Health Connect.
The affected version, 2024.1.0.263.0, has been removed from distribution. A new Point Release is available:

I recently had the need to monitor from HealthConnect the records present in a NoSQL database in the Cloud, more specifically Cloud Firestore, deployed in Firebase. With a quick glance I could see how easy it would be to create an ad-hoc Adapter to make the connection taking advantage of the capabilities of Embedded Python, so I got to work.
To start, we need an instance of the database on which we can perform the tests. By accessing the Firebase console, we have created a new project to which we have added the Firestore database.

I am currently adding a field to our Existing messaging from Epic, however there might be a possibility I need to back load data into the Ancillary system. While I have the previous messages that can be sent, they do not have this additional field that I am adding to the message.
I can do a lookup against Epic Clarity SQL Database; however, I don't want to throw a wrench into the workflow if the system cannot connect to the Epic Clarity SQL Database.
Are you using HealthShare® Health Connect? You should know that starting with version 2024.1, a private web server (PWS) will no longer be included in installations.
It is recommended that you migrate to an external production-grade web server to ensure security. Benefits include:

Hey Developers,

I've been preparing to take the InterSystems HL7 Interface Specialist certificate and on the page that explains the cert it lists one in-person class and one online course. I've been through the suggested online course but when I read through the practice questions there are a lot of things that aren't covered or mentioned in that course. Naturally I could go digging through the documentation but there is no specific guidance about what things to study.
I was just wondering if there is a better organized collection of study materials for cert prep.
In evaluating an IBM Support notification, InterSystems has determined a potential impact for our customers. The notification in question is:
This issue affects versions 2022.x and 2023.x of
It also affects other InterSystems products based on the InterSystems IRIS family of products.
I am fairly new to using Docker, and instead of trying to get IIS, a Web Gateway, and Docker desktop working within my Windows environment, I thought I would try running it in a WSL2 Ubuntu environment since this is similar to how use it on my server. I have installed Apache and the Web Gateway on my WSL2 Ubuntu.
I went through Apache Web Gateway with Docker | InterSystems Developer Community however that is already bundled and requires TLS certificate setup which I don't care about since this is running locally on my machine.
Given the number of new features in this release, InterSystems has decided to add this fifth preview as part of the 2024.1 developer preview program. This extended developer preview release only includes InterSystems IRIS® for HealthTM, and HealthShare® Health Connect.
❗This announcement does not apply for InterSystems IRIS®
In this release, you can expect a host of exciting updates, including:

Hi All! We have a new online course that those of you who do integration work / create data transformations may be interested in: Editing Data Transformations via Code. This course is meant to build familiarity with the code behind data transformations in InterSystems products, enabling you to identify their class structures, logical elements, and more. Directly editing code can provide an efficient way of updating DTLs in some scenarios, but building expertise with it is key, since you lose the guardrails that the UI provides if you go straight to code.
How do you tell the last date/time a LookupTable (LUT) was updated?

💡 HealthShare® Health Connect is a comprehensive solution for enhanced communication and data sharing between healthcare networks. It seamlessly integrates devices, applications, and databases, empowering healthcare organizations to make informed decisions and streamline operations—improving the experience of patients, providers, and payers.
🔒 With support for industry-standard data formats like HL7® V2, HL7® FHIR®, X12, DICOM, and IHE, Health Connect ensures compatibility and interoperability across the network.
Our 3M Computer Assisted Coding system goes down on a regular basis for updates, the Applications folks like us to Disable the Business Operations when this happens and start them back up when they page the on-call person. The Business Operations have to be started in a sequence to guarantee that all the ADT being sent it processed before we start sending everything else.
Does Intersystems have a simple (albeit large) HL7 Reference Guide ?

InterSystems announces its second preview, as part of the developer preview program for the 2024.1 release. This release will include InterSystems IRIS®, InterSystems IRIS® for HealthTM, and HealthShare® Health Connect.

Has anyone noticed that when IRIS is forced down that the EnsLib.JavaGateway.Services do not properly shut down and release the ports? While we can write a shell script to kill the processes at the OS level, I was wondering if anyone experienced this issue.
We are working on our Mirroring setup/failover and had the team testing forcing the Primary down to make the Backup to become the Primary Server. When this happened and we failed back, IRIS could not restart the JavaGateway.Services because the ports were still in use.
Hello,
I am trying to connect to a web socket endpoint that potentially has a number of different IP addresses for load balancing purposes.
I have been asked whether it's possible to use a DNS name to resolve the IP address rather than statically assigning one specific IP address in the TCP Operation.
If it's not possible to resolve on a DNS name directly on the TCP operation, then I wondered whether it was possible to provide multiple IP addresses.
In the documentation, it mentions that I can provide a value like this "!192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.
InterSystems announces its third preview, as part of the developer preview program for the 2024.1 release. This release will include InterSystems IRIS®, InterSystems IRIS® for HealthTM, and HealthShare® Health Connect.
Many updates and enhancements have been added in 2024.1 and there are also brand-new capabilities, such as Using vectors in ObjectScript, Vector Search (experimental), Multi-Volume Database, the ability to use Fast Online Backup (experimental),and the introduction of Multiple Super Server Ports
InterSystems announces the Maintenance Release (MR) of Caché, Ensemble and Health Connect HSAP 2018.1.9. This is a maintenance release with many updates across a wide variety of areas.
Full product installation kits can be downloaded from the WRC Software Distribution website:
For information about the corrections in this release, refer to the Release Changes Notes. The documentation for Caché and Ensemble includes these as well as the Supported Platforms document, the Class Reference, and a full set of guides, references, tutorials, and articles.
We resume our series of articles on the FHIR Adapter tool available to HealthShare HealthConnect and InterSystems IRIS users.
In the previous articles we have presented the small application on which we set up our workshop and showed the architecture deployed in our IRIS instance after installing the FHIR Adapter. In today's article we will see an example of how we can perform one of the most common CRUD (Create - Read - Update - Delete) operations, the reading operation, and we will do it by recovering a Resource.
I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with LDAP and a specific user. Besides what is in the Audit Database is there another way to look to see the LDAP functionality that is being called and the response, like there is with OAuth and the ISCLOG? The Audit Log is returning a failure (Unexpected - /api/atelier login failure | InterSystems Developer Community) for this particular user, and I want to get proof that it might be something with the LDAP and not IRIS.
Thanks
Scott
This is where FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) comes in, a standard that has revolutionized data exchange in healthcare.

According Wikipedia a mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information into a hierarchy, showing relationships among pieces of the whole. It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas branch out from those major ideas.
