I was wondering how people manage viewing messages that use a character encoding incompatible with the Management Portals use of UTF-8.

For example, a message that looks like this in Windows-1252/Latin1:

Will display as this under the message "Full Contents"

class(%ZEN.Auxiliary.jsonProvider).%ConvertJSONToObject

but how can I convert to %CharacterStream because I'm saving a %CharacterStream field

Hi all,

I am looking at a task which involves processing an XML file. Picking the file up from a folder (c:\test.xml) reading the data out of the XML and archiving the xml after it has been processed.

I was wondering what the best way of doing this would be?

I have got as far as creating a service in Ensemble. The Service I have created uses the class name EnsLib.XML.Object.Service.FileService.

Any advice or tutorials/guides would be much appreciated.

and it's working ok but I'm getting extra fields that they shouldn't be there.

The system I am working on processes large numbers of records. Inserts, updates and so forth. There are multiple processes that can potentially work on the same table at the same time.

It is an almost impossible task to try and time these processes to not run at the same time, due to volumes, SLAs, etc.

Every now and then there are a few locking issues, Not many considering the volumes. It is just a bit of a nuisance as we need to reprocess these records later.

In an Ensemble message bus that has a Business Service which extends EnsLib.SOAP.Service, I have the option to support SOAP Sessions by setting the parameter SOAPSESSION=1.

The comments says this also effects license consumption.

In what way is license consumption effected ?

note this is version 2015.1, Ensemble Elite (without Web-AddOn).

I have productions running in several different namespaces. They all use a common credentials ID for sending email, which is set up in only one of the namespaces. The documentation says that credentials are entered by namespace. When I ran a production in a second namespace, the error log said that credentials were not found (expected), but later attempts to send a file thorugh the production did successfully send an email. I'm wondering if Ensemble is able to look in other namespaces for the same credentials ID?

I'm trying to start a Production and the following error is shown.

Any idea how to solve?

I am following the ESB tutorial(https://learning.intersystems.com/course/view.php?id=77) and using my local system(2014.1.5) windows 7. Following on from https://community.intersystems.com/post/custom-business-process-change-sendrequestsync-sendrequestasync we are refactoring a number of business processes to use OnRequest/SendRequestAsync/OnResponse mechanisms.

To prevent overloading some of our datasources we currently implement a simple caching system using locks similar to the code below.

Please let know if it is feasible to integrate Security tools ( W3af and Iron Wasp ) with intersystems. If so, please let know how to do that..
