Let's say I have Macro.Parent class:

which references Parent.inc macro name:

#define name "Parent"

Now, I want in my subclass Macro.Child to have Test method with the same code, but to redefine value of name macro.

how do you substring only the year or month from current date

As I was going though and trying to figure out why our CACHE.dat has increased in size over the past 18 days, I found that EnsLib_HL7.Message is still retaining messages dating back to 2014 even though we have our purge set to 10 days. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, iam newbie on caché database.

Iam trying, export data from query.

I read in some article that is not so simple.

So I create a view then a execute a query insert into select statement.

I have problem to know the job progress. I execute an hour ago and nothing happened.

Iam using intersystems web IDE.

I'm converting a DTM system to Caché and trying to use the Caché Terminal as the UI. I've come across and removed some DTM formatting for printed text that does not do anything in Caché (actually, it caused errors). The printed output to the default Windows printer ("|PRN|") has been working and the printed documents in text-only format look fine. I am testing on a low-end HP laser printer and a Brother laser. The client has done a print test to his own older HP laser from his Caché instance and the text renders fine.

Is there a way to create a table for the results of a SQL statement ?

Example: Consider the below query and results.

Select ID,Name,DOB,Gender from EMS.EMS

RESULT

when I logon linux with a not root user, and then call ccontrol start/stop cache, show no permisson .

how to grant start/stop/restore privilege to user who is not root .

Has anyone ever used Cache Object Script to connect to any hardware such as a sensor?

What I mean is this :-

Lets assume that code has been written in Cache Object Script where it can detect breaks in electrical connections.

I'm trying write a JavaScript generator to perform pattern match validations using existing pattern match expressions in a legacy application.

I could make a server call to perform the pattern match operation but is there a way to automatically translate the pattern match expressions into RegEx expressions so I can perform the operation in JavaScript on the client to save making an Ajax call back to the server?

We are running old VB code on a Windows 2012 R2 server.

In the last month the following error has been happening.

Failure to create CacheObjectConnection.
Failure in GetClassInfo for CacheObjectConnection

Factory not connected to server
Send to Cache' failed

Neither the the code or Cache instance has not changed.

Cache 2017.1.1.111.0

We are trying to connect a RSS feed to a HealthShare PHR app, the RSS feed located here (link). Upon doing so I get a certificate server mismatch error, so I tried testing this out in the terminal as follows to see why this would be happening:

I want to analyze the journal, but the journal seen in terminal seems to be incomplete.

So how to transform journal into complete plain text.

My installation package is C2010_1_6_952_0_11445_x64.exe.

Let's say you have about 100TB of data in multiple CACHE.DAT. The biggest one is about 30TB but mostly more than 1TB. You have limited time for maintenance during a day, and it is only a few hours at night. You have to check Integrity as much often as possible. And of course backup it.

How would you do it?
