Good Morning and thanks in advance for all replies. I have created a PowerShell script for backing up CACHE and all related files to be run on a nightly basis. My script works as long as the Unknownuser has %all access which is not acceptable in our production environment. I have tried every format I can thank of to get the script to use a specific id with no luck. How can I get this command to run under a specific id?

Are there any third party tools that have native plugins for monitoring Cache?

I have a lot of string properties, which need custom but similar Getters and Setters.

Currently I'm generating Getter and Setter in class generation code but that expands class definition.

Is there a way to specify custom datatype which would generate custom getters and setters?

We have a lot of services, across multiple namespaces, and it would be useful to know what ports are configured, even for disabled services.

We have a development instance of cache that was installed and the person that installed and set it up is no longer here. We have no id's that we have the passwords for. I have brought the database up in emergency mode and I can get access thru the terminal using my emergency id but I do not know how to add a user/password thru the terminal. Can someone enlighten me or point me to documentation that I haven't found yet.

I have a persistent class.

I want to store one of the properties there as a stream or a string depending on a size.

99% of values would be strings (less than $$$MaxStringLength characters) so I don't want to store everything as streams.

What do you think of this approach?

I am new to this technology and I have installed the trial version of cache 2016.1 with Normal security.

I was trying to develop the sample cinema application and mean while when I tried to view the csp webpage, it opens the browser and ask for login after logging in it shows Service Unavailable error instead of preview of webpage.

Could you guys suggest an answer to resolve this issue.

We are using object EnsLib.EDI.XML.Document and the method OutputToString -- ( context.XMLObject.OutputToString("C(utf-8)") ), In the string that we get back, Hebrew characters are unknown and we get question mark instead.

I have a XML enabled persistent class and a XML representation of some object of this class (object ID is available).

How can I use XML Reader (or some other mechanism) to automatically update this object?

I think I already know the answer to this but I thought I'd ask anyway. So the Node.js adapter allows you to perform operations directly on Globals. Does the InterSystems.Data.CacheClient.dll or InterSystems.CacheExtreme.dll provide a mechanism to access Gobals directly or are you accessing globals via Caché ObjectScript classes?
