#InterSystems Demo Games entry

This demo introduces an AI-powered clinical decision support tool built on InterSystems IRIS. The use case addresses clinician burnout by unlocking the wisdom trapped in 30,000 unstructured clinical notes. We showcase IRIS's powerful vector search to perform hybrid (semantic + keyword) queries for complex diagnostic challenges. The highlight is our multi-modal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) assistant, which analyzes clinical video content in real-time to find similar past cases and synthesize evidence-based recommendations, transforming how clinicians access and utilize institutional knowledge.

Building a robot with IRIS

In this case, a robot is nothing like Gort from the movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” or any other humanoid robot from science fiction. Nor is this Robot the one-armed automated welder from a real-world automotive assembly line. This Robot is a program that controls another program. You might want this for automated testing or to capture application logic from an application for which you don’t have the source, and the application’s author lacked the kindness or foresight to provide an API for its capabilities.

Manifest or Class?

I have the unfortunate job of installing IRIS and Healthshare (real Healthshare not Healthconnect) on 16 difference instances (tst, stg, prd with mirrors etc). the Dev was set up manually (mostly by me).

So I decided to create a class that installed the db's, namespaces, mappings and HSREGISTRY options , i then decided an installer manifest was a better idea, I keep changing my mind on which!. I understanding manifest is "typically" for dockers to create the environment but have seen ISC use them for creating new setups aswell (outside docker)

Working on wrapping an IRIS Cache ObjectScript method that runs for a few seconds. Trying to get UI updates to show BEFORE the method runs in an async/await function. But it seems to be running synchronously rather than asynchronously . So my question is does IRIS/ObjectScript CSP pages support futures with JavaScript or does it run all synchronously.

⏯️ FHIR-Powered AI Healthcare Assistant

Leverage InterSystems's FHIR SQL Builder to project FHIR data to a dataset for vector embedding, and feed the vector store to a RAG chain with LLM and Chatbot.

Multiselction Zen component

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a Zen component that allow me to populate a list of items and the ability to multiselect, similar to checklist?

I've thought of using MultiSelectSet component but don't know how can I populate it like to a query or resultset?

a short sample code would be helpful.

Thanks

I have a HL7 DTL in which I'm doing a lookup to a table based on a code value in the IN1:3 field. That incoming code may have a 1 to 1 mapping, or 1 to many mapping in a table. If it's a 1 to many, the values in the lookup table are comma delimited. If it's 1 to 1, that IN1 segment will map straight across. If it's one to many, I need to create additional IN1 segments. For example, if the incoming code maps to three, I need to map the original IN1 segment with one of the mapped codes, then create two additional IN1 segments with the other 2 codes for a total of 3 IN1 segments. I'd lik

Hey, community! 👋

We are a team of Stanford students applying technology to make sense of climate action. AI excites us because we know we can quickly analyze huge amounts of text.

As we require more reports on sustainability, such as responsibility reports and financial statements, it can be challenging to cut through the noise of aspirations and get to the real action: what are companies doing

That’s why we built a tool to match companies with climate actions scraped from company sustainability reports.

We are using a DTL transformation to take HL7 and transform into custom XML (XML is a virtual document, held in an EnsLib.EDI.XML.Document object). The schema specifying the format of the XML says one element should occur no more than 24 times (maxOccurs="24" in the XSD schema). However, the transformation to produce one such element always produces 24 elements, all but the last one blank, when tested stand-alone.

Error importing XSD

I'm attempting to import all the FHIR XSD files provided by http://hl7.org/fhir but get the immediate and unhelpful error message:

I've tried different versions of EOLs to no avail. Any idea what this error could mean?

Here's the XSD I'm trying to import:

Vector Search Performance

Test Objectives

InterSystems has been testing Vector Search since it was announced as an “experimental feature” in IRIS 2024.1. The first test cycle was aimed at identifying algorithmic inefficiencies and performance constraints during the Development/QD cycle. The next test cycle used simple vector searches for single threaded performance analysis to model reliable, scalable and performant behaviour at production database scale in IRIS, and performed a series of comparative tests of key IRIS vector search features against PostgreSQL/pgvector. The current test cycle models the expected behaviour of real-world customer deployments using complex queries that span multiple indices (vector and non-vector) and run in up to 1000 concurrent threads. These tests will be run against IRIS, PostgreSQL/pgvector, and ElasticSearch

I like Application Error Log a lot, both for its full stack and a big list of variables. I'd like to "hack" this functionality and record the same in this log when a certain variable has a certain value. This quasi error should not be visible to the user, and it should not interrupt the application flow. Is that possible?

Throwing an error in a try-catch block does not record the error, tested. I am considering recording variables and the stack differently, I know how to do both, but that would miss the nice Application Error Log functionality.

My use case is I want AI to extract six pieces of key information from medical visit notes.

It works okay with notes from Epic patient portals. I am struggling with one of my own visit Summaries. So far I have not been able to instruct ollama to give me a JSON response where it gave me what I am asking for.

My original medical_progress_notes_prompt was:

Medical progress note:
