We also defined Parameters as another name for Variables when used in passing data from one Routine to another, or, from one Label to another.

Calling a routine from a Label, or to a Label, from within a routine is very similar to calling a routine itself.

We have an application running on Ensemble 3.0.0.2185, And we want to upgrade to latest version of Ensemble.

Can somebody please outline the process of upgrading from version 3.0.0.2185 and all the risks involved?

2016.2 Field Test Kit 2016.2.0.609.0

I am pleased to announce the next 2016.2 field test kit, 2016.2.0.609.0.

This is a relatively light update with only a few dozen changes from the previous field test, spread out across all areas of the product. Also, in a break from the recent past, this update doesn’t contain any new fixes to problems found in the field.

Please download the kit and give it a try; the latest field test of 2016.2 is available HERE. And, as always, we welcome your feedback.

I am pleased to announce the third 2016.2 field test kit, 2016.2.0.590.0.

In the week since the last field test posting Development has made over a hundred fixes and improvements in Atelier, Enterprise Manager, Ensemble and Caché. Unlike the previous field test kit, though, in which the changes were distributed evenly over multiple areas and products, in this kit over half of the changes are associated just with Atelier.

Task: Present complete, contextualized information to the people who must act as part of a (mostly) automated business process
Approach: Give examples of using InterSystems’ workflow engine.

More and more business processes are automated, but sometimes a person needs to make a decision. In some cases policies require an individual to approve an expenditure, or when loading data a person needs to sort out exceptions where the data in not clear. This session explains how to include people in business processes in a way that presents the user with a complete context for the decision they have to make.

Problem: Using human workflow to fix business process problems.

Hi -

Let's say I want to override the HTML that is generated by provided ZEN Mojo Helper Plugins I use the onloadHandler method of my document page, retrieving elements, and modifying them using jQuery syntax.

For example, I'm using bootstrap, and, I want the <button> element automatically generated with the use of the $navbar layout object, to collapse/expand a different <DIV> on my page, to the default one it produces.

Is this the correct spot and approach to use ?

Approach: Provide code samples for using new API calls to apply SQL security statements to multiple instances of our products

Description: The requirement that started at all. See examples on how to use this new feature and integrate it into your application by discuss code examples.

Problem: SQL Security is local to the instance and most of time driven by customer application code. That it is only local to the instance and is not automatically going to other instances requires a solution.

Solution: With application code use new API calls to issue SQL security statements that is applied to multiple instances.

Problem: Tools that help you build a stable backend, sometimes are in the way when you need to evolve.

Solution: Use flexible data models like the document data model for areas where you have to evolve constantly and mix and match it with the power of the OO and relational model.
