Has anyone tried the Ansible module for qlist in the article "Ansible modules and IRIS demo"?

There appears to be a bug in the qlist code as it assumes that the qlist output has an undocumented field.

I do not have the undocumented field in the output.when I run qlist so I keep getting the error "Unexpected IRIS qlist output format".

I assume that in most cases there is no undocumented field in the output.

Hi folks!

It is very easy to import CSV data into IRIS. But what if we want to preserve the original IDs in CSV?

Recently I came across with the situation when I needed to import two csv's into IRIS which were linked by one column referencing to another csv's col: a typical Foreign Key and Primary Key situation, where csv1 contains this column as Primary Key, and csv2 as Foreign key with id's related to csv1.

The image is generated by ChatGPT so don't blame it - it tried its best to generate countries as primary keys with countries.csv-cities.csv relationship :)

Hello, good morning, thank you so much for reading this question. ☺️🙂👍

We are developing a code to get information about our Production's items: services, processes and operations.

We know we can get various configurations of a given item: Category, Port, Enabled...

But we wonder how we could get the date time of the last mesage (most recent) received in an item.

To give a code snippet a small section of the code we have developed (and tested), it looks like:

We have a vendor that is requiring that the HL7 sent to them is sent as an Encoded message inside a SOAP request but is sending back an HL7 message as the response.

When the WSDL built the response, it was expecting an encoded message back. I updated the Request and Business Operation to expect an EnsLib.HL7.Message, however I am not sure how to handle the HL7 ACK to post it back to the sending message so it will not cause an Orphan message, and to parse it back correctly in the trace viewer.

When I do a $$$LOGINFO on the pResponse, I get back...

Hi Community!

We have great news for those of you who are interested in what's happening at the InterSystems Ready 2025 but couldn't attend in person. All the keynotes are being streamed! Moreover, you can watch them afterwards if they happen at an inopportune time.

Keynotes from Day 1 are already ready 😉

I have two instances of IRIS, one is Production and another one is Staging (both managed by Docker) and I want to set up a full daily recover of the Staging server from a full backup of the Production server. I know how to do this manually using the DBREST utility, as well as how to make a copy of the database by making a full copy of the durable directory (however this option requires a full stop of the Production-database). What is the best way to automatically restore all databases from a full backup using scripting?

Securing IRIS Integrations with Mutual TLS (mTLS): A Practical Guide

In today’s enterprise environments, secure communication between systems is not optional—it’s essential. Whether you're integrating InterSystems IRIS with cloud APIs, internal microservices, or third-party platforms, Mutual TLS (mTLS) offers a powerful way to ensure both ends of the connection are authenticated and encrypted.

This post walks through how to configure IRIS for mTLS and how to validate your certificates to avoid common pitfalls.

In IRIS, every time a request need to be processed, a specific IRIS process (IRISDB.EXE) need to be assigned to handle that request.

If there is no spare IRIS process at that time, process will need to be created (and later destroyed). On some Windows systems (especially with security/antimalware solutions being active) creating new processes can be slow, which can results in delays during peak times (due to inrush of requests).
