Is it possible to check retroactive LOCK history?

context:

I found it in the application error log. Some LOCK errors - ERROR #5803
Is it possible to somehow identify the point in the job or process code that caused these locks?

At the moment I no longer have table LOCKS on the server, but I would like, if possible, to check the time at which the incidents occurred.

New to Python. Attempting to use pypyodbc to select data from a table in one Cache database, and inserting into a similarly configured table in another. Process works fine except for tables containing Date types. NULL values in date columns are handled without issue, but when data is present, insert fails with:

An error occurred: argument 7: TypeError: 'NoneType' object cannot be interpreted as an integer.

Hi, Community!

Curious how a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) application works? Take a look at this demonstration:

Hey Developers,

Watch this video to discover an analytical approach to InterSystems IRIS encryption and how it interacts with storage compression and deduplication compared with storage-level encryption:

We have a customized doctype with iterated PIDgrp, so I have a rule that needs to evaluate the pv1:3.1 value to decide which operation the HL& message should go, so I debugged the value in the rule and it definitely should go to the when #2 but it just won't. so did I do anything wrong or it is just the InterSystems doesn't like the iteration value here? I only need to evaluate the first pv1:3.1

This article is part of a series showcasing the implementation of ideas from the Ideas Portal, where innovative concepts come to life!

Many InterSystems IRIS developers frequently need to create unit tests for ObjectScript classes — a process often done manually. The iris-tripleslash application revolutionizes this by automatically generating unit test classes with test methods for all the class methods of the original class. Developed by the talented Musketeers team @José Pereira, @Henrique Dias, @Henry Pereira — this tool was inspired by an idea shared by @Evgeny Shvarov on the Ideas Portal: "Add a project that helps to generate unittests for an ObjectScript class".

Hi Guys,

I'm calling the expandAll() method to expand the whole tree structure but for some reason its only expanding the root folders but not all elements under those folders ?

var tree = zenPage.getComponentById( "MyTree");
tree.expandAll(true);

Thanks

So I know we can run routines using both XECUTE or @
However both of them run slower than just running the routine without it. (that is because as far as i understand, XECUTE command for example will re-compile before running?)

the question is: how can I run a routine by name - and keeping the performance as good as possible?

I am creating a new HL7 DTL item. I put the from as HL7 and the to as XML, hence, those Ens classes were loaded into the new DTL. However, on the map screen, both the left and the right column only show 'source' and 'target', and no other fields. I pictured that when I included these classes, both columns would pull the corresponding 'schema' to show all the to/from fields, but, they did not. Is that right?

Nested queries

Hi Guys,

This Nested query is not working for some reason, but they work fine when executing separately ?

select id from FDRD_Com.List where vehicle in (select Car from FDRD_Com.Prod where ProductLineName='Toyota' and Car is not null)

Thanks

I hit halt in Iris lite terminal within VS Code and was exited out to PS prompt. I was just curious what the best way / recommended way to get back into an InterSystems lite terminal would be? Perhaps it is just to start a new InterSystems lite terminal from a the options listed previously in this post https://community.intersystems.com/post/how-run-objectscript-commands-vs.... I was just curious if there was a way to kick it off again from the PS prompt?

sql-embedding cover

InterSystems IRIS 2024 recently introduced the vector types.
This addition empowers developers to work with vector search, enabling efficient similarity searches, clustering, and a range of other applications.
In this article, we will delve into the intricacies of vector types, explore their applications, and provide practical examples to guide your implementation.

Hi:

I have been adapting the IRIS WHIZ addon as part of the contest. I will soon fork the code on github so the changes are available.

The next phase is I am storing the date from and to time for a more complete search cache

zenPage.getComponent(36).value

it works in the chrome console ok

I'm not sure in external JS how to set the page it is on as a zenpage to use the zenpage functions

I am a first time Python Contest participant and am interested in potentially implementing the community idea found in https://ideas.intersystems.com/ideas/DPI-I-542 if it is something relevant to Python.

Would anyone be able to shed a bit of light on what the desired outcome of that idea being implemented is? There were a lot of upvotes on that idea but there wasn't very much information in it. Thanks!

Hello,

as it took me some time to figure out what's wrong, I would like to share this experience, so that you do not fall into the same trap.

I've just noticed that if you name your package "code" (all lowercase), in a class using some embedded python using [Language = python], you'll face the <THROW> *%Exception.PythonException <PYTHON EXCEPTION> 246 <class 'ModuleNotFoundError'>: No module named 'code.basics'; 'code' is not a package

Introduction

To achieve optimized AI performance, robust explainability, adaptability, and efficiency in healthcare solutions, InterSystems IRIS serves as the core foundation for a project within the x-rAI multi-agentic framework. This article provides an in-depth look at how InterSystems IRIS empowers the development of a real-time health data analytics platform, enabling advanced analytics and actionable insights. The solution leverages the strengths of InterSystems IRIS, including dynamic SQL, native vector search capabilities, distributed caching (ECP), and FHIR interoperability. This innovative approach directly aligns with the contest themes of "Using Dynamic SQL & Embedded SQL," "GenAI, Vector Search," and "FHIR, EHR," showcasing a practical application of InterSystems IRIS in a critical healthcare context.

HTTP and HTTPS with REST API

HTTP and HTTPS with REST API

Hello

The HTTP protocol allows you to obtain resources, such as HTML documents. It is the basis of any data exchange on the Web and a client-server protocol, meaning that requests are initiated by the recipient, usually a Web browser.

REST APIs take advantage of this protocol to exchange messages between client and server. This makes REST APIs fast, lightweight, and flexible. REST APIs use the HTTP verbs GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, and others to indicate the actions they want to perform.

When we make a call to a RESt API, what actually happens is an HTTP call. The API receives this call and according to the requested verb and path, the API performs the desired action. In the case of the Iris implementation we can see this clearly in the URLMap definition area:

To transfer data between production components I actively use messages of type Ens.StreamContainer class and its descendants. In many cases the content of the message content is not visualised (the 'Body' tab contains a table with a list of selected message properties but the 'Contents' tab is empty). Response messages are never visualised, and request messages are visualised with a fifty-fifty probability. What do I need to do to ensure that messages are always visualised?
