I need to execute multiple DELETE statements in a single query like this

DELETE FROM TableName WHERE ID = 2;
DELETE FROM TableName WHERE ID = 3;
DELETE FROM TableName WHERE ID = 4;

However It does not work when there're more than 2 statements and gives me an error

Expected FROM found WHERE^DELETE FROM TableName WHERE

Using IN is not an option.

Hi!

Here is the question in Russian Forum regarding roots extracting.

In Caché ObjectScript we use exponentiation operator (**) to raise an exponent to power. F.e. let's raise 3 to power of 3: 

USER> write 3**3 

27

And we use the same operator to extract the root. 

USER> write 27**(1/3) 

2.999999999999999963

And 2.999999999999999963 is not 3, obviously.

How to extract roots properly in Caché ObjectScript?

Hi all,

I'm trying to use LOAD DATA to insert 11k (11,377) rows of data. LOAD BULK DATA is not available for the version of IRIS I am using.

After calling LOAD DATA it says only 5,500 rows has been inserted. The LOAD DATA docs says any error rows are skipped and a count of skipped rows can be found in %SQL_Diag.Result however there are no results here. There are no errors in the xDBC error log either.

Why have over half the rows been skipped?

Introduction to Django part 3

Continuing to observe the possibilities of Django, and usage with IRIS. The first we have looked how to define models and connect to tables already existing in IRIS, than we extended embedded Django Administration portal, with an ability to see what data we have in that models, with filters, editing and even pagination.

Time to go to real action, now we a going to create some REST API, on Django, based on the same data, we used before from the package posts-and-tags.

To do so, we will use Django REST Framework

Our company is using Cache FDBMS for Medtrak.

I am trying to insert a record with the following data types : date, time, string and memo field (multiline). The SQL insert/update works fine without the memo field.

Here's my SQL statement

Insert into MR_SUB (MRSub_Date,MRSUB_Time,MRSUB_Update,MRSUB_Desc) values(:DTE, :time, :use, :remarks)

Based on FDBMS docs. MRSUB_Desc is a multiline/memo data type

Why do I upload files faster with webservice than with csp?

The soap protocol used by webservice has to go through http protocol. csp directly handles http, no xml encapsulation, so it should be faster.

After testing, for a 1M file, csp is about 0.1s slower. After the gateway connection to 1972, there is a stall of about 0.1s, not sure why.

Is there any way to make the file upload speed of csp faster than webservice?

webservice用的soap协议也得走http呀。csp直接处理http，少了xml的封装，按理来说应该更快。

经测试，1M的文件，csp慢了0.1s左右。在网关连接到1972后，有0.1s左右的停滞，不知道原因。

I am updating the PV1 segment with values from the database but when I get two values back I dont know how to separate them with a tilde and insert. Any advice for me on that?

so if I get two values returned

my PV1.7 segment should be :

My current code is as below: It works fine for one value, but when there are more than 2 values returned I need to find a way to include it

I have a large tree outside my window. Here in Phoenix, Arizona, USA it's still warm and sunny so our plants are still covered in lush foliage despite so many other places in the full throws of Autumn. My desk is oriented such that I can look out at the tree throughout the day.
