We are working on getting a number of non-code based configurations and settings in fully automated deployments, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to "update" a task that already exists.

I am trying to create a rule which filters out ADT_A08 messages, when they have an OBX segment and their EVN.4 is "COD" or EVN.4 is "FIN"

The attempt is:

I have sent messages with EVN.4 COD or FIN and they are filtered out correctly

However if I remove EVN.4 and leave just the OBX filled up, the message passes from the Process to the Operation.

Is there a way to enumerate the compilation status of a package?

currently after deployment we are doing something like this to validate a successful load and compile of classes:

successful_compilation_count=`grep -a "Compilation finished successfully" output.log | wc -l`
successful_load_count=`grep -a "Load finished successfully" output.log | wc -l`

is there a method to do this where it is a little bit more elegant/dynamic without having to maintain counts for comparison ?

I've built a custom HL7 searchtable, but wish to remove some of the items.

I've removed the items I no longer wish to index recompiled the custom searchtable, however the previous searchtable values are available when searching messages in the namespace.

Do I need to rebuild the index for this searchtable to purge searching the old values?

I have stop and started the production.

I am building a SOAP service using Caché 2016.1.

If I set %session.Preserve=1 in OnPreWebMethod and I set a variable in my service method, why don't I see the variable in the CSP session processes' variables after I call the method?

When you deploy code from a repo, class (file) deletion might not be reflected by your CICD system.
Here's a simple one-liner to automatically delete all classes in a specified package that have not been imported. It can be easily adjusted for a variety of adjunct tasks:

set sc = $SYSTEM.OBJ.LoadDir(dir,"ck", .err, 1, .loaded)
set sc = $SYSTEM.OBJ.Delete(packages _ ",'" _ $LTS($LI($LFS(loaded_",",".cls,"), 1, *-1), ",'"),, .err2)

The first command compiles classes and also returns a list of loaded classes. The second command deletes all classes from specified packages, except for the classes loaded just before that.

Is it possible to know the names of the sub-directories in the case of an FTP type service adapters?

I know how to do it for the file type.

Or can you transfer files from an FTP directory and sub-directories to a server by keeping the structure?
