Motivation

I didn't know about ObjectScript until I started my new job. Objectscript isn't actually a young programming language. Compared to C++, Java and Python, the community isn't as active, but we're keen to make this place more vibrant, aren't we?

I've noticed that some of my colleagues are finding it tricky to get their heads around the class relationships in these huge projects. There aren't any easy-to-use modern class diagram tool for ObjectScript.

Release System Locks

Hi Guys,

We currently for reason I'm getting too many locks in the system (around 990 locks) and is making the system slow

most of these locks are on globals

I have a serial object:

Class EmbedObj Extends %SerialObject

which is stored as a property of another object

Class ContainerObj Extends %Persistent

Property InnerObj As EmbedObj;

Property Foobar As %String;

Question:

From within the context of an instance of EmbedObj, how can I navigate to the containing instance of "ContainterObj" and find that value of its Foobar property?

I've inherited a business service that takes a large XML document with repeating elements, extracts them via %XML.Reader and chunks them into separate persistent objects for delivery to a EnsLib.MsgRouter.RoutingEngine-based routing rule. Unfortunately, the lack of GetValueAt() for the message's class leaves me without much in the way of complex decision-making options.

Good day, I would like to find out the size of Caché ObjectScript variable in order to guarantee that my program will not leak, equally in terminal and Caché globals. For example how huge number I can store in that variable ? And what happen in Caché when variable will leak ? How is this behavior treated? (how much memory is reserved for common variable?)

Hi -

I know that when specifying Caché password rules (i.e. what constitutes a valid password definition) that the "Pattern Matching" logic is what is getting leveraged under the covers to enforce the "A Password Must conform to X" rule. I was hoping that people could share some more sophisticated pattern matching rules. (in particular, I was wondering what a rule that would require non-repeating mixture of letter, numbers, & punctuation of an overall minimal size)

I get NOROUTINE when I try to call a label in a routine in another namespace:

d someLabel^|”OTHERNAMESPACE”|someRoutine(inputVar,.resultByReference)

Two questions:

1. What is wrong with my syntax for calling a label in the other routine, versus just the root of the .int/mac?

2. Can I pass a parameter by reference when using extended routine reference?

Unless I'm mistaken, 2017.1 doesn't appear to support RFC 7523 (JSON Web Token Profile for OAuth 2.0 Client Authentication and Authorization Grants). Is that coming in 2017.2?

In order to support it in 2017.1, I'd have to override the OAuth 2.0 token endpoint to cater for the additional grant types - what's the best way to do this?

I need to add some extensions to the HS.FHIR.vSTU3,Model.Resource.Patient class and then use those extensions to convert incoming FHIR JSON to the FHIR Patient Resource and Likewise add functionality to create A FHIR Patient (target class) from my patient database into the FHIR Patient Resource Object (target class)

many months ago I found a tutorial that explained all of this but can no longer find that tutorial.

Send PATCH http call

I need to send a PATCH call from the server to a given url.

Until now I was using %Net.HttpRequest to issue calls for get/post/put but today I had to make a PATCH and I can't find a way to do it.

Hi,

I am getting the following error while logging in using LDAP authentication,

"An error occurred with the CSP application and has been logged to system error log (^ERRORS)". I've set the connection up and using Authentication Test was successful. I seem to be able to login as well but keep getting that error. If I allows unauthenticated access then the page works but changing it to LDAP is not working.

The LDAP account once created in Cache has U access to the resource related with the web application.
