#XML

Hi all,

I am looking at a task which involves processing an XML file. Picking the file up from a folder (c:\test.xml) reading the data out of the XML and archiving the xml after it has been processed.

I was wondering what the best way of doing this would be?

I have got as far as creating a service in Ensemble. The Service I have created uses the class name EnsLib.XML.Object.Service.FileService.

Any advice or tutorials/guides would be much appreciated.

hi there,when object export to xml,i know that,it will call propertynameLogicalToXSD method,but i can`t find out that use %XML.Reader to parse XML to object witch method will be called before ,

I am trying to call to a website that renders a xml structure as a response.if I put the url on the browser an xml rendered page is returned but if i call to this using the below code I get an object reference error which I am finding had to understand is there anyone who could help understand this error or point me in the right direction thanks.

I wonder if anyone has a smart idea to extract an XML fragment inside a text document (incoming from a stream)?

The XML fragment is surrounded by plain text.

Example:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8 ?>
<Start>
...etc

The XML is not represented by any class or object in the Namespace.

The XML can look different from time to time

I use the 2012 version of the caché, and I need to export data in an Excel file, the point that seems to complicate is to use the dropdown list in the cell and then trigger a validation if I exceed an interval of two values.

I have a large amount of classes in several XML namespaces.

Is there a way to generate all XSDs automatically?

I've read the docs but it seems like it's a manual class-by-class process.

I'm not sure why on some message you cannot edit/resend and change the inforatmation in the message

i.e.

Property property1As Messages.MesaageType1;

Property property2 As Messages.MesaageType2;

I have one persistent, xml-enabled class.
I need to convert objects of this class to XML.
However I need to project each object in different ways (depending on
where I send it), for example:

• Different list of attributes are projected
• Attributes have different names
• ...

Is there a way to do that with XML Adaptor?

In Cache WIndows environment:

Trying to use the $SYSTEM.SQL.DDLImport to import XML File that has ClassMethods, no SQL Table, but it doesn't appear to be working. I can use this ClassMethod to create SQL Tables. The manual method I have been using is to go into Cache Management Portal, Classes, Import.

I create an XML file first, then run the following to import but get no errors. Any ideas?
