InterSystems Data Platform Solutions Open Exchange is a gallery of software solutions, tools, and frameworks which were developed with InterSystems Data Platform (Caché, Ensemble, HealthShare, InterSystems IRIS, InterSystems IRIS for Health) or are intended to help in development, deployment and support the solutions built with InterSystems Data Platform.
You can use any of the published assets or you can publish your own tool, technology example or solution.

Hey Developers,
We decided to extend the registration period for the InterSystems FHIR Accelerator Programming Contest and voting will start only on Thursday, June 3! The voting period will last until Sunday, June 6.
So, don't forget to support the best solutions built using the InterSystems IRIS FHIR Accelerator Service (FHIRaaS) on AWS.
➡️ Vote here from June 3rd to June 6th!
How to vote and what's new?
In the first article, a simple tutorial helped you to set up your FHIRaaS deployment.
Now, let's move forward and introduce a JS library to access the FHIR resource.
In the end, two examples of usage of this library will be presented, exploring the Appointment FHIR resource type.
FHIR is a REST API, so you can use any HTTP client in order to use it. But, it’s always a good idea to have help.
Furthermore, there is a cool initiative called SMART which aims to provide standards for easy access to health data stored over health systems.
Hey Community,
Please join the next InterSystems online programming competition:
🏆 InterSystems FHIR Accelerator Programming Contest 🏆
Submit an application that uses InterSystems FHIR-as-a-service on AWS or helps to develop solutions using InterSystems IRIS FHIR Accelerator.
Duration: May 10 - June 06, 2021
Total prize: $8,750

All source code to the article is available at: https://github.com/antonum/ha-iris-k8s

In the previous article, we discussed how to set up IRIS on k8s cluster with high availability, based on the distributed storage, instead of traditional mirroring. As an example, that article used the Azure AKS cluster. In this one, we'll continue to explore highly available configurations on k8s. This time, based on Amazon EKS (AWS managed Kubernetes service) and would include an option for doing database backup and restore, based on Kubernetes Snapshot.
Let's get right to business.
Hi colleagues!
Often when we collaborate to someone's repo in GitHub we do the following cycle:
Fork-Clone-Change-Commit-Push-Pull-Request-Merge to the original repo.
This is all great and works fine!
And if we want to make a second collaboration right after the merge you need to perform "Fetch upstream" to your forked repo first to "ingest" your own Pull-request in the original repo.
Geeky git-professionals do it with ease but this was always a headache for me so I usually simply deleted the fork and created a new one.
And today I figured that Github added a new UI feature that I can easily fetch-upstream for my fork with the original one and make it up to date and capable for pull-requests.
Here is where the button is:

This is a relief! )
Wanted to share this relief and productivity tip with you!
Bring more collaborations to Github repos!
And speaking of PR - I just made a PR with docker to Google Cloud Run deployment for the FHIRaaS demo made by @Anton Umnikov for the current FHIR Contest! Looking for more of your contributions!

Hey developers,
We want to hear from you! Give us your feedback on the past InterSystems Developer Tools Contest! Please answer some questions to help us improve our contests.
👉 Quick survey: InterSystems Developer Tools Contest Survey

I'm just starting off with ZPM and noticed that examples of library-type packages and full applications abound, but I have not unearthed any that demonstrate packaging an interop production. It doesn't seem like it would be too big of a jump from a full application to an interop production, but that is likely ignorance speaking.
So, does anybody know if this is possible/advisable -- or if I am just way off on the intent of ZPM?
Thanks!

An interesting thing about data is that we can always discover something new.
And with this concept in mind, we create a new page to show a little bit inside the world of ZPM!
Hey Developers,
This week is a voting week for the InterSystems Developer Tools programming contest! So, it's time to give your vote to the best solutions built with InterSystems IRIS.

gj :: connect is a demonstration extension that shows how to extend the Intersystems Server Manager to perform custom actions.
It makes use of the context menu contribution points to add both in-line and right click menu options.
It also demonstrates how to create a new top level folder in your workspace corresponding to the server and namespace selected in Server Manager.
You may think it isn’t too difficult to get from label+offset^routine to the actual source line responsible for the error. For an expert it isn't that hard... most of the time. But there are enough oddities and special rules that even an expert can get it wrong, whilst spending a lot of time trying to get there.
gj :: locate is the latest tool from George James Software – it debugs any error, class or routine by converting the location of an error in compiled .int code to the corresponding location in your source, and then taking you right there.

Hi Developers!
Recently we released the updated version 0.1.3 of ObjectScript Package Manager (ZPM) which comes with the support of simplified ObjectScript sources folder structure.
What 'simplified' does mean?
Before 0.1.3 ZPM expected the following structure:
/src ---/cls - for ObjectScript classes ---/cls/package_name/class_name.cls ---/cls/package_name/class_name2.cls ---/mac - or Mac ObjectScript routines ---/mac/package_name/mac_routine.mac ---/mac/package_name/mac_routine2.mac ---/inc - for ObjectScript macro include files. ---/inc/package_name/include_file.inc
Hi Community,
Please welcome the new video recorded by @Robert Cemper on InterSystems Developers YouTube:
Hi Developers!
Many of you publish your InterSystems ObjectScript libraries on Open Exchange and Github.
But what do you do to ease the usage and collaboration to your project for developers?
In this article, I want to introduce the way how to introduce an easy way to launch and contribute to any ObjectScript project just by copying a standard set of files to your repository.
Let's go!
