I need to read first six characters from the filename we process in healthconnect, then need to insert these six characters in MSH-6 in the same HL7 message. (please note each file can have multiple HL7 messages with multiple MSH segments)

Is something can be done when first process the file, then insert first characters MSH-6?

Please advice if this is an easy fix.

if the message is good,  health connect processes ok.

if the message has an ERROR, it held up the message in Queue (keep retrying), then subsequent messages held up in the queue as well to be processed. Because of the message held up in Queue, Operation for TCP connection also turning blue.

Please advice.

we recently updated our Health Connect instance from 2021.1 to 2024.1 and also migrated to new hardware. The production environment is connected to an enterprise message bank system.

After going live with the new system we recognized, that enterprise system nodes in the messagebank were automatically created using a hostname for the "Web IP Address" setting, which actually had changed (to the hostname of the former production environment) before starting the production and sending messages. The "Client Nickname" contains the correct hostname.

Are there any utilities/api in HealthConnect 2016.2.1 that will allow conversion of XML virtual document to Json format? We were thinking to convert HL7 ADT message to XML via Ensemble DTL and then send it to another BP to convert to Json format for transmission via Web Services. To my understanding there isn't anyway to represent Json as a virtual object so it can be use for direct mapping of HL7 2.x message to Json via Ensemble DTL.

I am trying to find the problem code that is causing the Orphaned messages, and an ACK showing up seems kind of Odd. While we do have Archive IO/Trace on, and Index NOT OK's set why would they show up as Orphaned messages?

There are a select few in the group that have been using Github as a Local Client push to a Repository setup in GitHub. Questions were brought up today about the security, and possible issues when it comes to data being pushed in this method.

Looking over code we have noticed that there is Histogram data within some of the class files that could be considered a security issue. Does anyone else have concerns with the Histogram data being within the class files pushed up to github?

I am trying to add validation to a RecordMap, because the source of the data sent file sent us bad data within the file. So, I am using PATTERN to verify certain fields start with Numeric, and Alpha where applicable. When the EnsLib.RecordMap.Service.FTPService runs into an issue it doesn't seem like it continues onto the next record if the record does not meet the validation requirements. 

How can I tell EnsLib.RecordMap.Service.FTPService to log the error and continue onto the next record, so those records that fail are not processed?

I am trying to add some validation to an existing Record Map, because recently we had some wrong data get consumed into the System and is causing all kinds of havoc.

Using the AI on the Developer community it suggested that I use PATTERN within the Datatype Parameters to force some validation on some fields. I have never used PATTERN before...

 I have just installed WebTerminal on my local instance of Health Connect 2025.1, but it does not work and returns a HTTP 401 error.

Can any one help, as I have never installed WebTerminal before?

Has there been any changes in Health Connect to stop it working in version 2025.1?

When using a EnsLib.RecordMap.Service.FileService business service, is there a way to tell which row number that is being read in? I want to read in a csv, but on the first record, trigger a truncate on the External SQL Table that it is being written to through JDBC.

What is XML?

For one of our customers I had to integrate with the AFAS imageconnector endpoint /imageconnector/{imageId}?format={format}. This endpoint returns in a json message with the image as a base64-encoded string property, in addition to the mimetype for the image:

High-Performance Message Searching in Health Connect

The Problem

Have you ever tried to do a search in Message Viewer on a busy interface and had the query time out? This can become quite a problem as the amount of data increases. For context, the instance of Health Connect I am working with does roughly 155 million Message Headers per day with 21 day message retention. To try and help with search performance, we extended the built-in SearchTable with commonly used fields in hopes that indexing these fields would result in faster query times. Despite this, we still couldn't get some of these queries to finish at all.
