The aim of this project is to provide an REST API that can convert easily various health formats.
Post the desire format in the REST body, get the answer in the new format.
InterSystems FHIR contest has been started and in this post, I want to introduce several topics you may find interesting and use to build FHIR applications with InterSystems IRIS for Health.
Amongst them are:
a frontend mobile or web app for FHIR server FHIR REST API or SQL;
Backend apps to perform complex queries and maintain rules;

The event will be focused on the InterSystems IRIS: it will be divided into IRIS for Healthcare and IRIS Data Platform. A joint lunch will be also included.
We have received quite a lot of interest in using SQL on FHIR data. As you know, FHIR data is encoded in the form of a complex directed graph, and thus you can not easily query it with traditional SQL queries or business intelligence tools. Some customers have noticed that the "FHIR search tables" in IRIS for Health have flattened part of the FHIR graph, and have tried to use them for analytics. This is an undocumented and unsupported part of IRIS for Health, and can change without notice.
