Reports roadmap

We are about to embark on a development where we'll be taking HL7 messages and generating PDF reports from them. We are wanting to future proof our development efforts within the constraints of our currently deployed platform and future upgrade options. We are currently running on Ensemble 2018, though an upgrade to Iris is anticipated - at some indeterminate point in the future. We are aware of Zen Reports and InterSystems Reports (Logi) as technology options, but are also unclear on some details. A roadmap and guidance from those who've done this kind of thing before would be great!

Hi everyone.

I have a use case where I'm using embedded SQL within a Business Process to interact with a SQL table. However, when it comes to deployment into our production, the table wont form part of the deployment package created from the production.

Beyond manually creating the table on the production system, is there a standard way of ensuring that a table needed for a class is created during deployment?

Hi All,

I have created a custom method into persistent class to call vendor Rest API from Ensemble that is working fine through Terminal, but my concern is:

I want to call only if Error, Warning or Alert are generated. Is there any way that it would call automatically to send that Logs records through API or from where I need to call custom method of persistent class.

I also tried to put that persistent class method from Ens.Util.Log class but it's calling multiple time automatically.

Write Daemon Status

Hi,

Is there anyway available to get the current status of Write Daemon through code?

Generally, this information is present in Management Portal->System Operation->System Dashboard->System Usage->Write Daemon.

ComplexMap Riddle

Im usually pretty good at ComplexMaps and implemented a couple, but I have one that is stumping me on how I can implement it. My problem is I have no real "leading data" to key off of and need something else...

Hello, I am total newbie when it comes to ObjectScript (just started going through the tutorial). We have a task where we have to update the port number for 75-100 items (say for half of the items in our production). Going through the documentation and other community posts it looks like we could utilize class method 'ApplySettings' in Ens.Production. But we are running into an issue. Below is what we currently have. When we hard code the item, it works. But, if we store the item in a variable and try it pass it through. Then it doesn't work. We are also not seeing an error. Is our

Security Deployed classes

Hi Guys,

I'm converting our system from Ensemble 2014 to 2018 and we do have Security package of classes in deployed mode in our 2014 (eg. Users, Role, ...etc) which doesn't exist in our newly installed 2018, so how can I include those classes in 2018?

Has anyone had success with passing in a collections property within a SOAP request to a Soap Service in Ensemble? Please reply with how you set up that collections property. I am able to successfully send a SOAP request correctly containing the elements of the collection property to Cache, as seen in a custom soap log file which I am using to troubleshoot. But the collection property in the Ensemble request is not getting serialized, meaning MyContainers has nothing.

My.Request consists of a property, MyContainers, which can have 0 or more Containers (My.Container)

Hi all.

I have setup a HL7 Operation using the HTTP adapter, and I'm getting what seems to me as an unusual response. When sending a sample message to the operation, I am getting a nested ACK. For example:

Flush on CSP-page

CSP Page prosessing;

Is there a way to flush temporary cache data to csp page while server is still prosessing the end of page ?

So, the whole page is a LOOP which gathers the data. It seems to reveal the output only after when whole thing has finished. Is it possible to flush data to screen on every loop ?

Hi all,

is there a way to remove a specific property path from a DICOM document created within Ensemble/IRIS for Health etc. I had a look at class EnsLib.DICOM.Document to see if there is something like RemoveAt.

The reason for my question resides in the need to filter certain fields for specific DICOM devices. Maybe you have an idea?

Zen Page can't find compiled class

Hi Guys,

After converting from Ensemble 2014 to 2018 and ran my application I get the below error message:

MSDS.ZEN.Component.imageclickbuttom exits and compiles fine and also compiled the Zen page extending the class successfully but still getting the error so not sure why I'm still getting the error!?

I'm using the EnumerateJobStatus query of class Ens.Util.Statistics to obtain the LastActivity value of a Business Host.

I would expect that this would return the timestamp of the last message received by the BH, understanding that any connect/disconnect activity would reset that timer. However, the time returned appears to actually be the time at which Ens.MonitorService generated the alert and is not directly related to anything that happened in the BH itself.

Get a list of available printers

Hi guys,

How can I get the list of printer in client Zen page?

We currently use an ActivexObject call "MSDesign.WebLabel" to get the list of printer loaded in a dropdown in our Zen pages:

webControl = new ActiveXObject("MSDesign.WebLabel");
if (webControl!=null) printers = webControl.getPrinters();
and this will give us a list of printers available in client machine but this does work in Edge or Chrome, is there a tool or simple code that I can use to get me the list of printers available?

In a data transformation, when creating a "set" action, I have a value that looks like this:

..If(..NotIn(source.Records.(k1).Property4,"Learn & Dev Supervisor,Director of Learn & Dev, Clinical Trainer Lead, Learning and Development Specialist Lead"),"TL","3")

Is there a way to target keywords such as "Trainer", or "Learning" so I don't have to keep adding specific job titles?

Similar to a LIKE statement in SQL, if that makes sense.

I'm facing an issue while converting an ORU_R01 HL7 message to XML, specifically with the <pidgrpgrp> kind elements. When I use the getvalueat() method before conversion, the XML includes the <pidgrpgrp> and other <grp> elements, but when I don't use the getvalueat() method, the XML is generated without these <grp>elements.
