I just recently got a mail regarding the latest and greatest.

I find the mail impossible to read or make any sense of.

At the bottom it says to manage my subscription.

I clicked on the link and it took me to a page that says I am denied.

All the time I am still logged in.

Then, can you tell me how do I manage my subscriptions and stop those impossible emails?

I sure wish we were back to the Google Group, I understood that.

Empty column on hompage

If you look at the homepage as a guest (not logged in), the third column has a header of "Knowledgeable Members", but there is no text. It is an empty column...looks like a mistake/bug/missing data

Can this be fixed or replaced?

When you're sharing some community portal content with somebody through the CP 'Share with a friend' feature, the target person recieves an email with subject '<Somebody> has shared a page with you on InterSystems Developer Community'.. Where <Somebody> is target person's name, not the person's name who has shared content.

Hi, I have been looking through the InterSystems Developer Community for awhile.

Is there any basic help on how all this stuff works?

For example:

How can I tell what posts I have already read?

What is "My Content?"

Under Connect - what is the difference between Members and Communities?

Is Favorite and Unfavorite the only two selections? How does this work?

What are Points and how do they work, the same thing with Quiz, the same thing with votes.

If this is to be a replacement for Googe Groups , you must explain this stuff!

Post Duplicates

Hi, Community!

We are having some troubles with post duplicates at the moment, we are working on it.

Now when you post your message it waits until timeout and shows 404 but also publishes the article.

Hope this would be fixed ASAP.

Hi

I am getting below error while associating Facebook account :

App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Please note upon opening from Facebook account is working fine, only issue is when opening from InterSystems site.

Earning points weakness

Actually, every user recieves 1 point for each page (post) view he/she did.

Can we do the limitation for that to count only unique page views after post content changed (new comments added, new attachments, any other stuff). Because now any user can just hold F5 button and recieve 1 point for each page query that may easily break user activity stats, I think.

Trouble editing my profile

I'm trying to edit my profile but running into trouble. When I go to the Edit tab, I can see a form for editing appear and then quickly disappear and then the only option I'm left with is this:

If I try to uncheck and save this setting, it appears to save, but when I navigate back it always remains checked.

Any suggestions?

Unable To Change Name

Hi,

I'm currently unable to change my First Name from my account page.

Although my name is Thomas, I go by Joe.

Is there a reason I'm not able to edit my displayed name?

How can I change this?

After the March 15th DC update I posted one Question (as opposed to Article). I've been used to getting notified by email no more than an hour after someone responds to a post of mine. In the case of my question, I think I only got that email when someone posted a Comment on the question. When I went to read that comment I saw that there were several Answers that had been posted many hours earlier.

I create the NewBie posts.

And as directed I use the Beginner tags.

However, a lot of people are using the Beginner tags for other posts.

Is there a way for separating the NewBie posts from the other Beginners?

Failing that, can I in someway make the Newbie Index more visible?

I am doing a lot of work on the NewBie Index to make it more useful.

Images dropping from posts

I've been creating some posts with embedded images, and some of the images seem to stop resolving after a period of time. I've resaved them, and that has helped temporarily, but I just checked and one of the images is now not resolving again. Is there a limit to the number of images on a post, or should I be using a specific filename pattern?

I spent some time just clicking around and found the old google groups discussion groups
These are clearly dated and the place is here

However it's not clear to users that they should post here rather than on the google groups

Mai I suggest that a big banner link is added to re-direct the user to ask their question here rather than there

In the subscriptions e-mails I get (digested), the URLs are typically wrapped across lines, like:
