Atelier is InterSystems’ Eclipse-based development environment. It enables you to rapidly build solutions that leverage the performance, scalability, connectivity, and reliability of InterSystems’ comprehensive data platform.
Atelier has reached a threshold of feature completeness. Atelier 1.3 which is currently in flight will mainly focus on supporting the latest release of Eclipse Photon. After release, Atelier and Studio will continue to receive critical software corrections.
Most notably, take advantage of enhancements to compiling with InterSystems IRIS. You can find more information about the additions in the release notes here.
To simplify the upgrade processes and to keep up with industry standards, we decided to make Atelier only available as an Eclipse plugin. Those of you who are currently using a standalone Atelier client will not be able to upgrade to a later version.

The Atelier 1.2 stable release update site (https://atelier.artifactoryonline.com/atelier/updates/stable/1.2/) has been updated to 1.2.119. This build contains all of the new features and enhancements the 1.2.118 beta build has as well as a number of bug fixes. Additionally, we have documented a list of the top time-saving keyboard shortcuts to help you become more productive. Give Atelier 1.2 a try and let us know what you think! Atelier 1.1.386 is now available! If you haven't subscribed to the NEW Atelier Beta channel, please follow the instructions on the Atelier Download page.
Stable Releases of the Atelier plugin are now available from the Eclipse Marketplace. Just search for Atelier on the Eclipse website (https://marketplace.eclipse.org) or - even better - in the Eclipse IDE.
This is an convenient way to install this plugin, because you no longer have to enter the URL.

Over the past few months, our team has been hard at work building a better Atelier experience for you. With three major new features and more than twenty enhancements, Atelier 1.2.118 makes it easier for you to develop important applications. It now also supports InterSystems IRIS Data Platform™, which enables you to rapidly build scalable, interoperable, and analytical data-rich applications.
The update sites listed on the Atelier download page will be temporarily down for some time. We will notify the community here once the servers are brought back up.
As a result, you will not be able to install Atelier 1.1.391 from the beta update site until this work is completed.

Intersystems is a fascinating yet niche marketed.
We are using it, but we struggle to find good developers to join us to work on Caché or Ensemble products.

InterSystems Atelier has been tested with OpenJDK 8. The InterSystems Eclipse plug-in is currently available for Eclipse Photon (4.8), which requires and works with Java 8.

We at George James Software recently released a new version of Deltanji, the native source code management tool for Caché, Ensemble and HealthShare.
Version 6.1 includes several enhancements, including easy creation of labels. Bulk transfer of large codesets is also now available from the browser UI.
A perpetually free "install and go" Solo Edition of Deltanji is available. Licenses can be purchased for other editions that provide more advanced code management and deployment features.
Deltanji is compatible with Atelier. It can also manage external files.
