I recently created a shell script to run the integrity check.

I used this as reference - Introduction | InterSystems IRIS Data Platform 2023.3

I found the example from above url having a line - "

kill ^IRIS.TempIntegrityOutput(+$job)

it isn't working when I used in a script. it returns the pid of my iris session instead.

I have created a BPL to process a file and create a lookup table. I am looking to add logic to use the original filename so that I can use a single BPL to create multiple tables. How can I access the original filename within a BPL?

I have set up a Docker image with IrisHealth Community Edition and created a backup of all databases with the Management Portal. Obviously, the restore requires a different way, i.e. a terminal or session needs to be started to use a "Do ^DBREST".

Due to the manual first a session (which is probably same as iristerm terminal) needs to be started:

docker exec -it iris iris session iris

If I enter "DO ^DBREST", I get the answer:

<NOROUTINE> *DBREST.

In the Windows Ressource Manager I can observe multiple parallel processes coming from cache.exe with read operations to journaling files.

All except one of these processes have the same reads(Byte/s). The processes point to different journal files and constantly read between 200 and 3000 Bytes/s.

The corresponding process via PID in the management portal of Caché shows the process %SYS.Monitor.Control.1. In 3 days of uptime on the server it has run 181.632.583 commands and modified 32.140.642 globals.

Took one class room training where instructor told us to attend this 30 minutes training prior to the class but clicking the link https://learning.intersystems.com/enrol/index.php?id=632 shows the following message

SQL gateway.

It is not "compiling" correct the properties(get; set;) in the class, and generating 2 methods of :

GetuProperty and SetuProperty.

so it's not equivalent to standard methods interface handling.

About a year ago I joined InterSystems, and that is how IRIS got on my radar. I've been using databases for over 40 years—much of that time for database vendors—and assumed IRIS would be largely the same as the other databases I knew. However I was surprised to find that IRIS is in several ways quite unlike other databases, often much better. With this, my first article in the Dev Community, I'll give a high-level overview of IRIS for people that are already familiar with the other databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgeSQL, etc. I hope I can make things clearer and simpler for you and save you some time getting started.
