Can Cache Monitor (^MONMGR) and System Monitor be configured to also send 'OK' messages? With the first bad email, you still wonder if things are still broken, when in-fact normalcy has been restored, some even within some seconds.
I'm working on a project with my client. They have a visit table which has about 7,000,000 records. The table is used in a random search page witch holds 20+ conditions to be combined. The table is defined as below:
I am currently evaluating Source Control systems that we can use for both MS SQL, MS Visual Studio, and InterSystems IRIS. For both MS SQL and MS Visual Studio we do have the option of either Azure or GitHub. I understand when we upgrade to IRIS 2019.1 we have options for Source Control, and in previous Global Summit's I have heard GitHub discussed. So why can't I user GitHub for both MS SQL/MS Visual Studio and IRIS?
A couple of questions come to mind starting to think about Source Control
Caché running on Windows Server includes a built in telnet service. Unfortunately though telnet is a plain text protocol, which generates a security violation from our network security scanner. Is there a way to replace telnet with SSH to connect to a Caché system running on Windows 2012 R2?
A customer is using Caché online backups and needs to automatically purge the cbk files with a scheduled task.
This is a wheel has been reinvented uncountable times already and I know somebody out there has a well written, extremely robust version that has already stood the test of time.
Does anyone have a nice routine/class/task for purging old Caché backup files?
I'm having a problem on a sign-up screen, what happens is that this screen is not reloaded after clicking save, and that's where the problem arises, on that screen it is possible to upload images, but as everything is loaded withsubmit, the record would have to be updated so I had all the information, which does not happen.
ERROR #5540: SQLCODE: -76 Message: Cardinality mismatch between the SELECT-list and INTO-list SQLTEXT: SELECT * FROM PMG_Data_Private.RemitInstance WHERE (VoucherNumber %INLIST ? SIZE ((10)))
I have a %Net.Request object and I want to get a full URL of the request sent (preferably after all redirects, but even full initial one would be good). For example, I have the following method:
Is there a way to query the database structure? In SSMS there are queries for finding tables with a column with a certain name (using LIKE). And there is the redgate tool SQL Search. But I'm not sure how to go about looking for columns that have say a value of 'PATID' and returning all tables that match. Does anyone know?
I wanted to share a little tidbit which is in the Studio documentation (http://docs.intersystems.com/cache20152/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls?...) but many people who have been using the InterSystems Studio for a long time missed the addition of this *very* useful feature, and every time I mention this to an audience I see at least one face light up because of how excited they are to learn about it!
Within Studio, the Output pane (View -> Output) is actually misnamed. It is actually an Input/Output window which can be used to run Caché ObjectScript commands!
InterSystems' iKnow technology allows you to identify the concepts in natural language texts and the relations that link them together. As that's still a fairly abstract definition, we produced this video to explain what that means in more detail. But when meeting with customers, what really counts is a compelling demonstration, on data that makes sense to them, so they understand the value in identifying these concepts over classic top-down approaches. That's why it's probably worth spending a few articles on some of the demo apps and tools we've built to work with iKnow.
In the first article in this series, we'll start with the Knowledge Portal, a simple query interface to explore the contents of your domain.
InterSystems is pleased to announce that InterSystems Caché and Ensemble 2018 are now released!
New in these releases are features that improve security and operations, including:
· Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) support · Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) integration · Integrated Windows Authentication support for HTTP · SSH enhancements
When an error occurs in your application, simply logging it might be enough. But for certain errors, you might want to send a notification to people right away. There are three ways to generate custom email notifications from InterSystems IRIS.
I would like to know if it is possible to use windows command line , instead of Intersystems Terminal , to connect to Caché and do objectscript commands or SQL requests as a client.
In this series of articles, I'd like to present and discuss several possible approaches toward software development with InterSystems technologies and GitLab. I will cover such topics as:
Git 101
Git flow (development process)
GitLab installation
GitLab Workflow
Continuous Delivery
GitLab installation and configuration
GitLab CI/CD
Why containers?
Containers infrastructure
CD using containers
CD using ICM
Container architecture
In this article, we would talk about building your own container and deploying it.
Having developed systems using Caché ObjectScript and Ensemble on various projects over the last 4 - 5 years I'm considering trying for some certifications. I've found details of the Caché Systems Administrator and Caché Application Developer certifications but have a couple of questions:
1) Is there a certification for Ensemble Application Developer?
2) Are any sample questions and/or practice exams available?
