#InterSystems IRIS for Health

Please allow me to introduce you to a new way of interacting with IPM (InterSystems Package Manager), also known as ZPM, directly from inside Visual Studio Code.

In the previous article. Practices of class members and their execution within embedded Python. We will now turn our attention to the process of switching namespaces, accessing global variables , traversing and routine executions within embedded Python.

Based on a great sample and workshop built by @Luis Angel Pérez Ramos (see related articles and related Open Exchange app), which included a local InterSystems IRIS for Health container (and desired setup), this sample presented here, adapted the workshop for using the InterSystems Cloud FHIR Server, and it's related setup.

I am trying to track down a problem we saw this morning with our TEST environment. We had a momentary issue where InterSystems HealthShare Health Connect could not connect correctly to LDAP. When we tried to login and could not connect to LDAP, the system would Delete our users.

the Test LDAP function would return a "Can't contact LDAP server". I went through the Certificates, made sure they had the correct permissions and were not expired.

I need to execute code whenever a production component setting is updated, such as when a service port is changed and the `ens.config` table is updated. This code will handle tasks like logging these updates to a custom table for external reporting purposes.

How can I invoke custom code on these updates?

Ideally, I need to monitor all namespaces that are interoperability-enabled. Whenever a production component setting is changed in any namespace, I need to run the code.

On Windows, this cannot be changed, but on Unix-like platforms, it can be changed using the iris rename command.

iris rename instname(<current instance name>) newname(<new instane name>)

What table would I find the MRN in? I'm trying to write a crystal report and pull that field, but I cannot seem to find it in any of the tables, to be able to add to the report.

If you are using the client-side development paradigm (i.e. editing code in local files that get imported and compiled onto the IRIS server your `objectscript.conn` settings point to) you can now use IPM in VS Code to manage the packages in your IRIS target by launching it from the Explorer view.
