How do we get posts featured/sticky/always on the top of the homepage?
We need the ability to have a couple posts always on the homepage. Most sites have some sort of Featured/Announcement/Sticky function for important information to be seen by all.
We will soon be implementing a filter that will remove Developer Community feedback from the home page. Please keep the suggestions and comments coming.
You can still access the feedback from the "Browse by Group" section on the home page by clicking on the Developer Community Feedback link.
When looking at a single post there is no easy navigation to the overview of the category containing the post. I.e. having clicked on a single feedback post, there is no link back to the Feedback category overview.
Typically the thumbsup/thumbsdown icons are grayed out until you vote for one. Then it is either red or green depending on which you selected. I like this behavior. However, on my own posts, the ones I cannot vote for, the indicators are both colored. Since the visual queue has already been established that this indicates a selected vote, I think this should be changed. Perhaps, since we cannot vote on our own posts, completely hide them.
Due to increasing number of new questions and articles regarding containerization, docker, microservices we've introduced certain tags. Subscribe and use it in your postings.
If you have any ideas for new tags to be introduced, please add your ideas in comments.
Since we have a way to see 'Unanswered' questions now, there are a couple of things that jumped out at me. Not sure if I am missing how to do these or if they need to be added to the future enhancements list:
1) It looks like a lot of people 'Comment' on a Question rather than providing an Answer. This means that there are many questions listed as unanswered where the answer actually lies in a Comment (but noone has submitted a formal Answer). Is there some way to tag a Comment as the Answer?
Looking at the navigation, should we consider moving the Logout function under the My Account button? It is kind of oldschool to see the logout functionality as a stand alone menu item.
Maybe the My Account button should have "Account Settings" and "Logout" as the drop menu items?
On the "My Collaborations" tab of the "MY CONTENT" view I'm seeing some posts that I don't think I've commented on or even flagged as a favorite. So I'm wondering why they're there. Is Developer Community attempting some kind of AI? Or is there a data leak that's making it use comeone else's history?
This kind of notifications can be confusing: one follows the link and finds... his own comment written several minutes ago. Found an answer by myself: there is a profile setting which disables it. Sorry for spam )))
When you click on the My Content icon in the navigation bar you see a page with tabs, two of which are "My Content" and the other is "My Collaborations". The formatting of this content is not very good and is inconsistent between the two.
Is it possible to change date for post, when in time when it was published? I've created a draft some days ago, and when I published it today, it shows that post already 3 days old.
