Does anyone have a cleaner approach than this for looping through grouped NTE segments in order to set the segment ID in an ORM? I am aiming to avoid the NTE segments that may follow the PID segment and find the NTE's that follow the OBR segment. By using the below If statement in the While loop, I'm finding NTE's that have comments in the fourth field (PID NTE's tend not to have these in the messaging I'm seeing, I'm awaiting confirmation on this), as well as finding my newly inserted NTE segment using $FIND to locate the colon (I've concatenated some values).

I'm writing a ZEN PDF report that uses StyleCalls to modify/HiLight table cells.

Is it possible to use a ZenMethod to create the Xdata below? I need to modify the colors based on flags.

I'm creating a REST API with InterSystems Ensemble.

I already have a POST route that parses JSON content into an object defined in a class.

To parse the JSON content, I'm using the JSONStreamToObject method in the Ens.Util.JSON class

Here is how I use it:

 Set tSC = ..JSONStreamToObject(%request.Content, .tObject, "MyClass", 1)

While the route works and does what it should, in theory.

I have a report that requires a different header block for the first page and another for subsequent pages.

I work on an ERP system and am trying to set up a dashboard according to a customer request. It's a pivot table with a few controls and filters, nothing too difficult, but I'm having some issues with drill down.

We've got item sales data. Quantity sold, sales dollars, cost, gross profit as both dollars and a percentage. It's starting out with one row per item. From there, we can drill down to see which salesmen have sold that item and get all of those numbers for each salesman.

When I'm asked questions about SQL, I like Intersystems staff at the WRC, generally ask about the Query Plan.  My feeling is that even before you run a query you should examine the results of Show Plan to confirm that the code is going to give me the results in the manner I would expect.  If I expect it to leverage an index and I see that it is not then I go back and look at what I might have done incorrectly and try to re-write the query to get the index behavior I'm looking for.

But it gives me a syntax error, I try this and it works:

ClassMethod myMethod() As %ListOfObjects

}

But I would like to keep the typing.

We're encountering a problem using CacheSQLStorage where one of the subscripts of this mapped table contains the string "||", which causes issues as Caché uses "||" as a delimiter. Is it possible to assign a different delimiter?

I have more than a decade experience into  Intersystems stack of technologies including IRIS, Ensemble, Healthshare, Healthconnect, Cache Objectscript, Mumps, Zen, Analytics etc. with companies spread over US and UK  involved in multiple domains.

Can the built-in $System.Encryption.TOTP() function be used in conjunction with Authenticator Apps (e.g. Google, Microsoft, and so on)?

Providing the same secret/key to a variety of authentication apps, they all return the same synchronized value. However, passing the same secret/key to $System.Encryption.TOTP() is generating a different value (with all instances executing at the same time for comparison).

All of the reference material I have found so far mentions RFC4226 or RFC6238 or both, including the Intersystems documentation.

Now Intersystems has developers definitely cut-off from Zen/CSP I am looking for sample code how to invoke server-side methods from Angular and PHP, Java client.

I only see some rest/json crud examples, but that is not the whole picture I assume.

Let's say I have a persistent Class with a class method to import or modify data...

I want to invoke this from my Angular App or PHP app.

I'm using the below style and everything looks  good, with my Dynamic Grid width 1300px, but when I refresh my grid the width goes out of whack and the grid is too wide, so how can I re-call my enforce my style to be applied again after refreshing my grid, so basically I'm looking for a line of code that I add it to my refreshing () clientMethod ?

So, one day you're working away at WidgetsDirect, the leading supplier of widget and widget accessories, when your boss asks you to develop the new customer facing portal to allow the client base to access the next generation of Widgets..... and he wants you to use Angular 1.x to read into the department's Caché server.   

There's only one problem:  You've never used Angular, and don't know how to make it talk to Caché.

Is there a method I can utilise to check if a particular method has been called and perhaps log the args it was called with?

We are currently trying to expand out Cache Unit Testing processes and were wondering if there is an existing method that would capture this or how  such a method could be structured.

Over the next few months I'm going to be setting up continuous integration via Jenkins for some Angular UI's.  The goal is to, on each build:

1. build the code

2. run the unit tests and get a report

3. get a code coverage report

Just wanted to poll the community in case someone else has already worked with any of this before.  All ideas are appreciated.

Hi, I need to assert that a string is a certain value.

When running this I get an INVALID OREF error.

Is there any Assertion method I can use where the first parameter can be string like above, rather than an instance of a class as I can see on the documentation?

I want to add time slot and category metadata to complete my cinema application.

I was trying to add theater and time slot. But I was not able to do that.
