I have an application that is requires an Encoded HL7 message sent over SOAP over HTTPS using SSL/TLS... the Response that is return is also encoded, which I know how to Decode but not sure when I Decode the response how to Extract the HL7 message to send back to the router.
How do I capture the Routing Source System and parse the encoded message back into an HL7 format that would show on the trace viewer?
Is a layer before the internal HTTP of Caché/IRIS, such as a Reverse Proxy or API Gateway, a good option?
Example: I have an API using %CSP.REST, and I am using the internal port for development. But for production and approval, I put a reverse proxy using NGINX. Is this recommended? Is it an alternative?
If I map all globals with (*) to a database1, then would like to map specific only some globals eg. MYGLOB* to be located in a different database2, which mapping will override the other, so would all globals that starts with MYGLOB* be placed in database1 or 2?
While developing web apps the security practice I consider safe and convenient is to create a special Role (e.g. equal application name) which contains security resources which application will need (SQL tables, priviledges, database access, etc) and assign it to the Web Application. So the user gets this role once it loggs in to the application (via password, no password or delegated).
Convenient, right?

I do have the problem to send mails to outlook after getting the new OAUTH2 token.
I have no problem getting the token, but after I got the token I try to send the mail thru smtp but authorization failed , please see my try to send the token thru the %Net.Authenticator mechanism %Net.SASL.XOAUTH2
Is this ok?
Or is there an other method to authenticate using the needed bearer method instead of user/pwd with the authenticator?
I just installed IRIS 2022.1 onto a new VM in the MAG (Azure Government) cloud. The install was successful. Everything looked fine.
When attempting to stop this instance of IRIS, the system hangs at "Withdrawing from License Domain". Eventually, my session is disconnected. The instance then has a status of "sign-on inhibited". To stop this instance, I need to force it.

WSDL for a CDC vendor was provided with a URL using a custom socket (non 443). Everything generated fine, but when making calls to their https:// URL that has their custom port in the URL - no response comes back. The assumption is, their server isn't even processing the request, as Postman does using the custom https://path.to.server:NNNN port in the URL.

the connection appears to open because $TEST becomes 1.

My intention is to show how simple it is to generate a lookup table taking into account the information received in our HL7 messaging. The HL7 message lookup table provided by IRIS is certainly sufficient for most of the searches we want to perform, but we always have that special field in our HIS, LIS, RIS, etc. that we'd like to search by. But that's in a segment outside of that lookup table. That field forces us to generate a specific search using the expanded search criteria.

I have a HL7 DTL in which I'm doing a lookup to a table based on a code value in the IN1:3 field. That incoming code may have a 1 to 1 mapping, or 1 to many mapping in a table. If it's a 1 to many, the values in the lookup table are comma delimited. If it's 1 to 1, that IN1 segment will map straight across. If it's one to many, I need to create additional IN1 segments.
