Hello,

I have set up a Docker image with IrisHealth Community Edition and created a backup of all databases with the Management Portal. Obviously, the restore requires a different way, i.e. a terminal or session needs to be started to use a "Do ^DBREST".

Due to the manual first a session (which is probably same as iristerm terminal) needs to be started:

docker exec -it iris iris session iris

If I enter "DO ^DBREST", I get the answer:

<NOROUTINE> *DBREST.

My employer set up a web-based HL7 interface monitor dashboard that will display all Ensemble components (Service/Process/Operation) in a Production, their status, and the support information embedded in each interfaces listing on the Monitor. Please see 3 screenshots.

Hi we have started to get rid of orphaned data and would like to soon compact and truncate the database as will have about 40gb free to return to filesystem after the few weeks of running the new task.

The idea would be to do this on the shadow server first of mirror rather than primary.

Is there any reason this is a bad idea? Considering this needs done on both servers of mirrored db? As idea would be to do this on shadow server before we failover to the server a few days afterwards. And do the same for the month afterwards.

New Kubernetes Exercise!

Hi All! For those of you who attended experience labs at the 2021 Virtual Summit, you may recall that one of the lab sessions was around Kubernetes. We've now converted that lab to be fully on-demand. You can launch a small cluster of VMs and follow the exercise to manage your Kubernetes cluster, deploy InterSystems IRIS containers to it, and watch its self-healing nature when destroying a pod.

I have a terminal script that queries sys.process' and then parses the results writing to a logfile. As part of the processing of the results, each row of the result set includes an element from the static string. But I am not clear on the scoping of the static string. The write statement sees the static string as undefined. What I want is something to the affect:

set statStr = "aa|bb|.."

set sqlStatement = xxx

set tState = ##class(%SQL.Statement).%New()

set qStat = tState.%Prepare(< sql statement> )

As of today, the Angular Create CCR page is now live for CCR Beta Users. Beta testers will be sent to the Angular create page from anywhere you would normally create a CCR. No existing functionality will be lost.

Caché for simple applications

To develop simple applications, wouldn't the Caché database be too heavy? Or are there simpler and less complex versions that can serve in the same way?

Hello,

I need to ensure that the task created/scheduled, by system user, is created in the routine database and not remotely in the ECP to which it is connected. How can I guarantee the creation/scheduling of this task?

This example demonstrates the difference you may experience when you write to
Gllobals directly from Embedded Python compared to native ObjectScript.

To make this demo useful I start 2 background jobs that simply write sequentially
to a dedicated global. A common control method signals for a synchronous start.
Similar a common stop & view interrupts data feeding.

Change UI Locale Code

What is the best way to add an en-uk.json or an en-za.json file to the custum folder, since the default is en-us.json?

Where can I get the json files for UK and Za ?
