This demo showcases composing several InterSystems Managed Cloud Services to solve various use-cases.

The video is actually built of 6 short chapters (each ~2.5 minutes long) showing each part of the story, demoing a different service.

You can watch each "chapter" individually if you're interested in a specific service, but there is value in viewing the whole composition and observing the full flow.

In this week's InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talk, we'll discuss API-first development and how InterSystems is embracing this industry trend with our API Manager, and specifically with our FHIR offerings. First, we'll talk about InterSystems API Manager. This tool controls your web-based API traffic in a single location. You can throttle throughput, configure payload sizes and whitelist/blacklist IPs, among many other features.

FHIR stands for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources. Release 4 brings this HL7 standard to maturity, and the FHIR R4 support in InterSystems IRIS for HealthTM is big. You'll learn how to work with FHIR data in InterSystems IRIS, and see our developer portal in action, where you can access FHIR resources using the OpenAPI specification.

Hello Everyone,

The Certification team of InterSystems Learning Services is developing two new HealthShare Unified Care Record certification exams, and we are reaching out to our community for feedback that will help us evaluate and establish the contents of the exams.  Please note that these exams will replace our HealthShare Unified Care Record Technical Specialist exam that we plan to retire in January 2026. Certifications earned in this technology before the exam’s retirement will remain valid for five years from the date of achievement.

In this InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talk, we’ll focus on using InterSystems Managed FHIR Service in the AWS Cloud. We’ll start with an overview of FHIR, which stands for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, and is a next generation standards framework for working with healthcare data. 

You'll learn how to:

• provision the InterSystems IRIS FHIR server in the cloud;
• integrate your own data with the FHIR server;
• use SMART on FHIR applications and enterprise identity, such as Active Directory, with the FHIR server.

We will discuss an API-first development approach using the InterSystems IRIS FHIR server. Plus, we’ll cover the scalability, availability, security, regulatory, and compliance requirements that using InterSystems FHIR as a managed service in the AWS Cloud can help you address.

Often we create and edit InterSystems IRIS Interoperability solutions via a set of UI tools that is provided with IRIS. But it is sometimes difficult to setup the development environment to handle changes we make in the UI to source control.  

This video illustrates how git-source-control helps with source control Interoperability components while changing it in the UI.

The Interoperability user interface project has continued from 2025.1 and has incorporated many of the items that you – our customers and partners – have suggested and observed.  We are continuing to invest in feedback and updating this important user experience.   In the latest release, 2025.3 for IRIS, IRIS for Health, Health Connect and Health Connect Cloud, the DTL Editor and Production Configuration applications that are available for opt-in. 
NOTE:

• You can switch between the modernized and standard experiences. 
• All other Interoperability screens remain in the Standard user interface.
