In the last article we presented the architecture of our SMART On FHIR project, so it's time to get down to business and start configuring all the elements that we are going to need.

We will first start with Auth0.

We will start by creating an Auth0 account with a valid email, once registered we will have to create our first application, and we will do it from the menu on the left:

In our example, the application will be of the Single Page Web Application type as it is an application developed in Angular 16. We select this option and click Create.

I am trying to create a HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.Encounter message based on a conversion of HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Response QuickStream to a JSON %Dynamic Object. 

When I try to send the HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.Encounter onto the Router

1. it is not showing up as a Defined Message Class to Route the message back to the SourceConfigName of the Request message that initialized the FHIR query
2. I keep getting "ERROR <Ens>ErrBPTerminated: Terminating BP EPIC.FHIR.Process # due to error: ERROR #5002: ObjectScript error: <SUBSCRIPT>%SaveData+29 ^Ens.MessageHeader.1

I have this response, which is a FHIR location resource in a bundle. I would like to load the entry(0).resource into a context property defined as HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.Location so I can use it as a source in a DTL.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I thought I knew how to return a Response from a Business Process back to the Source Config Name, but I guess not. 

I am working on a Proof of Concept, that the Request Message Class would determine a "Route" within a Business Process to make a FHIR call (search, read) to our External FHIR repository, and return back the HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.xxxxxxx as a Response to the Source Config Name.

I have the FHIR part working, however now that I have the data in the form of HS.FHIR.DTL.vR4.Model.Resource.xxxxxxx, I am struggling to understand how I could send it back to the Original Source

I have challenged to create a bot application using Azure Bot that can retrieve and post data to IRIS for Health.

A patient's data has already been registered in the FHIR repository of IRIS for Health.

The patient's MRN is 1001. His name is Taro Yamada. (in Japanese :山田 太郎)

This bot can post new pulse oximeter readings as an observation resource linked to the patient.

I was looking for an easier way to build the FHIR Query String, given the Record Map request that is passed into the DTL.

I built this Function, but when I run a message through it, my Query String that is passed back into the DTL is a Reference Pointer and not the String I am looking for.

what is the best practices to prevent the creation of 2 identical resources in FHIR ?

I'm trying to complete Inferno Service Base URL test for FHIR endpoint and I thought it wanted host.com/fhir/r4/.well-known/smart-configuration but I get header error below. Am I using the wrong Service Base URL List or am I missing something? I'm running 2021.2 HealthShare

ERROR <HSFHIRErr>InvalidAcceptSpec: No valid Accept data found (Accept header or _format parameter)

As I begin our adventure into using an External FHIR Repository, I wanted to see what opinions people have about a design Idea I was working on. 

I want to create a way that my Team has the ability to send a Message Type, and the system knows from that Message Type which FHIR queries to execute and return the Response back to the user, sort of like a FHIR Query Hub. Does this sound reasonable?

While I know that it can be done directly in Object Script, I was trying to incorporate using a Business Process, and Operation for the Trace elements, since most of my team develops within the Management

Since my initial question on ordering json properties a few things have happened.

Let me recap the issue at hand:

• In the FHIR specification, properties are listed in a certain order, for example, see https://www.hl7.org/fhir/patient.html#resource
• When you serialize resources to XML, the resulting document elements are ordered as defined in the specification.
• On the other hand, json objects returned from the IRIS for Health FHIR Repository will for example normally have the "id" as the last property, given that new properties are appended.

I'm unable see the FHIR SQL builder /csp/fhirsql and /csp/fhirsql/api/ui  endpoints in web application to access the FHIR SQL builder. I'm using community edition 2024.1 and it contains the "FHIR SQL Builder".

I'm running into an intermittent issue with some of our Custom Operations/Processes as a result of some large FHIR R4 Binaries. Essentially we get a response from an AthenaHealth FHIR endpoint that appears to be too large to be processed using the IRIS Built In Functions for FHIR:
I've replicated it on the command line here using a file (binary.json) that has the response from the FHIR Endpoint. Not sharing full contents due to PHI concerns.

Hello, Is there an equivelant to HS.FHIRServer.Tools.DataLoader.SubmitResourceFiles for bulk fhir data (.ndjson) that exists to import from a local directory in I4H ?

Using the FHIR DEMO, I have pieced together how to make a FHIR Request using OAuth against an External FHIR Repository. When I execute the Patient search (HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Request), I get a HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Response that has a Quick Stream ID, which I then use to convert the Quick Stream to a JSON Dynamic Object. if I do a trace on the Raw JSON Object, I am able to pull out single elements, however I want to pull the raw JSON into a defined Class Structure.

I've configured a FHIR Server in FHIR Configuration "/csp/healthshare/learn1/fhir/r4 " and I enabled a JWT Authentication for this web application. I've invoked this url http://localhost:52773/csp/healthshare/learn1/fhir/r4/login with basic auth get the JWT token. Now I use the access token as a "Bearer" for GET the patient resource. But I got 401Unauthorized error. Anyway I can get the patient resource with basic auth. I tired assign with %ALL role for testing as well. Did I miss any additional configuration in "FHIR Server Configuration"

I'm a beginner and currently working on a project to convert CCDA files to FHIR using InterSystems IRIS. I have developed a web form to upload CCDA files, and I'm attempting to convert the uploaded CCDA files to FHIR. However, I am encountering an issue where the conversion process results in an empty entry.
Here's the Output it displays on HTML page:

Up until recently, I have been toying around with REST/FHIR capabilities but only internally. Now I have a request to make REST API calls outside of our Network.

I have a use case where Epic is sending an A60 Allergy transaction is set at the Patient level, but we have a system called VIBE which needs the ADT at an Encounter level instead. Currently we store ADT information in a MS SQL database for years, and we are querying it to get the latest Account Number to insert into the ADT^A60 for VIBE.

This MS SQL Visit Database was built over 20 years ago and is quite cumbersome to keep maintaining.

Recently, I've been working on a Business Process that processes a large JSON FHIR message containing up to 50k requests in an array within the JSON.

Currently, the code imports the JSON as a dynamic object from the original message stream, obtains an iterator from it, and processes each request one at a time in a loop.

The performance meets the requirements, even with much larger requests than the one exposed above.

I created a FHIR Client to execute a GET response from an external FHIR server. I set everything up according to this post: https://community.intersystems.com/post/create-fhir-rest-client#comment…

I was able to send a GET request and got a response of type HS.FHIRServer.Interop.Response.

But in the visual trace, I do not see the actual json response payload.  I opened the response object in terminal and saw it has a QuickStreamId, which I used with the HS.SDA3.QuickStream class to open the quickstream object. But how do I get the payload from this quickstream object?
