A lot of tools in InterSystems products are designed to help facilitate high availability solutions (Mirroring and ECP come to mind readily). Since a lot of concerns about these technologies are in a similar thread regarding High Availability, I believe it might be worthwhile to create a High Availability Group within the Developer's Community.

What thoughts do people have on the addition of such a group?

I'm pretty sure that we used to be able to click on the logo at the top of the homepage in order to reload it:

But this no longer has a hyperlink, so I have to use my browser's reload facilities.

Was this change deliberate?

Currently it's not possible to post a question/article without a tag.

When your post is about something that no tag exists for, you can't post it.

Let's allow tag-less posts. otherwise people just select random tags

I just noticed a new navigation item - "Back" now appears above the "Links side bar when viewing posts.

It is in the wrong font. Also it seems very odd place for this navigation item.

It alters the page layout by moving the content down & introducing more whitespace.

Looks like John Murray's comment should be an answer.

Is it technically possible to convert it? Are there moderation policies on such things?

The top of my Answers tab looks like this:

To get to the question, first I have to click on the "Answer:" text (which only gets the appearance of a hyperlink when I mouse over it).

That click takes me here:

I now need to click on "Back to question page" in order to get where I want to be.

We are fixing groups, tags and message types for the several last year's postings.

So that's why you are getting "strange" notifications now with no any new comment.

As a result, you'll get better tagging and for the DC articles and questions.

Anyway, you can turn off the "OnUpdate" notifications as it is described here.

Is is possible to reorder the comments so we see new comments at the top? At the moment its very hard to find a new comments since the order of the comments is always from oldest to newest, if you comment on the first comment then your comment will be at the top while making a new comment on the post will be at the bottom. Also marking new posts with a different background color or highlighting them would be convenient.

This would be very handy for posts that are getting more comments than can fit on one page or just posts with more comments in general.

I noticed this morning that a post to which I had responded was apparently deleted by the original poster. In most other discussion fora, once a post has any sort of followup, only a moderator may delete the thread.

Nothing significant was lost in my followup, but I'm concerned that good information may, at some point, be lost due to the OP changing their mind about the original topic.

Thoughts? Comments?

Starting sometime at the end of last week your posts like

and others have been receiving a number of spam comments.

When using the search field on this site, sorting by 'Relevancy' shows same results as when sorting by 'Newest first', and it seems that results are really sorted by newest first. A bug maybe?

Typically the thumbsup/thumbsdown icons are grayed out until you vote for one. Then it is either red or green depending on which you selected. I like this behavior. However, on my own posts, the ones I cannot vote for, the indicators are both colored. Since the visual queue has already been established that this indicates a selected vote, I think this should be changed. Perhaps, since we cannot vote on our own posts, completely hide them.
