Hello,

First of all, thanks for your help, and time, reading this questions, and answering to this doubt.

We have the following use case: to convert a HL7 ER7 ORU_R01 v2.5 message, to a Ens.Request Message which represent it with a custom data structure (each segment is a group of Properties).

To be more precise, the target Ens.Request Message's structure looks like:

Hello,

We would like to learn how would you approach this task.

We would need to check every day a set of folders which are outside our server (in fact we could see them as if they were "inside" the server), then we need to check for modified or created files in the last day, and move all the ones which match the criteria to just one folder in our server.

We have thought about doing the following:

1) Create a task to run it each day:

ObjectScript error handling snippets

ObjectScript has at least three ways of handling errors (status codes, exceptions, SQLCODE, etc.). Most of the system code uses statuses but exceptions are easier to handle for a number of reasons. Working with legacy code you spend some time translating between the different techniques. I use these snippets a lot for reference. Hopefully they're useful to others as well.

Hello

I made for fun a bash script that creates csv files from a %GOGEN exported file.
%GOGEN, the utility for exporting globals for Cache 5.xx

First I thought it would be very simply with bash, but ...
- if I want a header in the csv file
- if you export with GOGEN more globals together not only one
- if I want a csv file for every global/indexes has the global ..

The simply bash script goes up 100 lines of code. If I will start again with this, I would use Python or Go, not bash.

Example:

For a EXPORTED.GLO file

Convert hexadecimal to base64

Hello, first of all thanks for your time reading our question 💭

We would need to be able to transform a hexadecimal string to a base64 coded one. 🔄

To be specific, our use case is this:

1º We have our hexadecimal as follows:

4C5803040101020179C3913EC3BA7C4C580708010101021824584D4C

2º We convert it to ASCII:

LXyÑ>ú|LX$XML

Hello,

First of all thanks for your time reading this doubt.

We have discovered the following behaviour. Inside a Router we have a roule which needs to filter out the ADT_A08 messages which have not OBXs.

The legacy system had this rule implemented:

(((Document.{OBX(1).SetIDOBX}<"1")||((Document.{EVN:EventReasonCode}!="COD")&&(Document.{EVN:EventReasonCode}!="FIN")))

However we have tested it and it does not filter out the ADT_A08 messages.

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way, or what is your recommended way to generate, or develop some kind of deep interest or even some joy, love, or excitement towards coding, programming, software developing. Specifically for people aged between 20 and 30 years old.

I am aware of some programming games like the following ones:

First of all, thanks for your help, and time reading this question.

Why, when we send a SOAP message from SoapUI to a SOAP service in a HealthShare environment called 'ESBCHUIMI,' it recognizes the 'Credenciales' header, which has 'usuario' and 'password' as properties. This class is a %SOAP.Header.

However, when we load the WSDL using the SOAP wizard from this SOAP Service to another HealthShare environment called ESBSSCC and send it from SoapUI to ESBSSCC, when it is being forwarded from ESBSSCC to ESBCHUIMI, the ESBCHUIMI's service outputs:

0 5
0 214

What if you could serialize/deserialize objects in whatever format: JSON, XML, CSV,...; attending different criteria: export/import some properties and not others, transform values in this or that way before exporting/importing,...; and all of this without having to change the class definition? Wouldn't that be great??

Well, perhaps it's a goal too ambitious to reach 100% but, exploring this idea, I've developed a bunch of classes that I thought it was good to share. If you want to test, change, modify or improve the code, or just take a look at it, you can do it here. There you'll find a more detailed explanation (see Readme.md)

Be aware, this is a proof of concept for myself done in spare times, sure it's not robust enough or it can be done much better... but, I was just playing...ok, I could just wait to the new JSON Adaptor (coming soon!) that sure is going to resolve much more scenarios in a cleaner way, but... meanwhile... :-) ...

Hello,

We would need some help,

Our aim is to send an image as binary data using a REST Service

Currently we do the following:

1 We get from the external system a binary image in our REST Operation

2 We encode it to Base64

set linea=""
    while (tResponse.Data.AtEnd = 0) {
        set linea = linea_$system.Encryption.Base64Encode(tResponse.Data.Read(57))
    }

3 We send it to the Process in a Response Message:

Cache tricks

Several years ago, long before Developer Community Portal was launched, I published a series of Caché tricks at one of Czech web sites. In this article, I’m posting translated version of one of them.

Capturing output of someone else’s methods or routines

Suppose you, or someone else created a useful method or routine, that was producing some computation that you’d like to benefit from, but the routine was writing output to process principal device.

You would like to use the data, but you need it not written to a device, but assigned to a variable. And, for any reason, you can’t modify the code. What can you do?

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with using "Open" function.

My goal is to execute a shell script with parameters like as:

/trak/FRXX/config/shells/transportIDE.sh "login|password|NOMUSUEL|PRENOM|NOMDENAISSANCE|1234567891320|199999999999999999999999|09%2099%2099%2099%2099|31%2F12%2F1999|242%20IMPASSE%20DES%20MACHINCHOOOOOOOOSE%20||99999|SAINT%20BIDULETRUC%20DE%20MACHINCHOSE|isc%24jhu|123456|123456798"" 2>&1"

But when some parameters are too long, I have a <NAMEADD> error.

Code Golf: Label Validation

New month, new code golf!

You will receive a string with a label code with numbers and letters.
Our challenge is to check if this code begins with 1, 2, or 3 and ends with A, B, C, S, or R.
It should return true(1) if so or return false(0) otherwise.
As usual shortest solution wins.
