I already mentioned in a Previous post I am trying to build a list from a repeatable field within a HL7 message. I figured out how to build the list by using a context list string variable within the Business Process (BPL) and doing a

 when I am looping through the field. I want to do it one step farther though... I want to search the list to see if the value exists before I do the insert. I only want to insert if the value is different than what is in the list already.

IF$LF##class

I tried using $LF or $LISTFIND, but I keep getting the same error...

I have a repeatable field within HL7 that I want to create a List from. Do I have to initialize the List by using $LB, or can I just use $LI to keep adding on to the end of the list as it is looping through the field?

as it took me some time to figure out what's wrong, I would like to share this experience, so that you do not fall into the same trap.

I've just noticed that if you name your package "code" (all lowercase), in a class using some embedded python using [Language = python], you'll face the <THROW> *%Exception.PythonException <PYTHON EXCEPTION> 246 <class 'ModuleNotFoundError'>: No module named 'code.basics'; 'code' is not a package

How to send the HL7 Batch messages over a SOAP webservice which takes 3 credentials(Username, Password& Org.ID) using IRIS Management Portal V 2019.1?

Source is CSV File will be translated to HL7 using data Transformations. All the transformed messages need to be sent to destination System through SOAP request as a single Batch File.

Challenge faced was - How to send the request message (Message Structure asked : Username , Password, Org.ID and HL7 message )in batch transformation.

I'm looking for some simple heuristics to estimate the size on disk of a database based on average size of messages, number of messages per day and purge frequency. The purpose is for estimation of disk space requirements.

Clearly this is a how long is a piece of string question but for example, if you have a simple HL7 routing production that does nothing but process HL7. It receives 10,000 HL7v2 messages per day (all approx 1kb on the wire) in a single service, passes them to a single router and outputs to a single operation.

I want to automate a menu based program for which I don't have the source

If I run it interactively I do this:
do ^<program>

It presents a menu and then you can go down further menus

Based on the selection it may ask for answers to other questions.

Is there some way I give the program a "response" file?

If not would I be able to use I/O redirection for this task?
Inputs would come from a file.
Output should go to the terminal (so I monitor how far the process has gone)

I have seen some examples of redirection code and it seems quite complicated.

Hi. I am struggling to understand the meaning of different elements of an order in my hospital's EHR.

Page: EPR > All Orders

Question: What is the difference between Start Date and Date Executed and Order End Date? If an order was started on Monday and executeed on Tuesday.. does this mean the patient received the order on Monday or Tuesday? and what is End date?

Also, how do I interpret order status? What is the difference between discontinued, verified, and executed?

Also, some  orders have a green / red / yellow bar to their left, that continues as a line under that row.

I have been trying to get to grips with the new dot Net Gateway used in IRIS as the import of the DLL to construct proxy classes is no longer supported in IRIS I have a third party DLL that when I try to instantiate throws an error complaining about the class not instantiated as it does not support parameterless constructor .I am using this new

I have a question about the maximum number of active license users for CACHÉ.

When I run the command: Do $System.License.ShowCounts()

I get the following return:

1 Current active users
3 Maximum active users
0 CSP users currently active
1 Maximum active CSP users
0 CSP sessions currently in 'grace period'
1 Maximum CSP sessions in 'grace period'

I couldn't find it in the documentation, but I want to know if "3 Maximum active users" is the maximum number of users who have used the license since the period I installed the CACHÉ instance or since another period. Could you help me?

This log is written to the ^ISCLOG global stored in the %SYS namespace. Each global node is a separate event, with additional information sometimes logged to the subnode.

Each entry consists of a list containing the following fields: ID, Category, LogLevel, Message, Namespace, Process ID, Routine, SessionID, Tag, and, TimeAdded

Hi - Recently I have been investigating an annoying situation whilst editing ObjectScript classes or routines in VSCode.

What was happening to me was, as I was typing in lines of code into my class (for example, adding a new Method, or changing the Class signature, or a block of code),  this would quickly get syntax checked, re-formatted, and compiled - inevitably, (since I would be mid-way through my typing), this would generate compilation errors.

I have an old .NET 4.5 project, working with database InterSystems.Cache. The project is deployed on a Windows server. Data is retrieved using the InterSystems.Data.CacheClient.dll library.

But now I'm planning migration of the project to .NET 8 to container with linux centos.

How can I get data from InterSystems.Cache in this case?

As I understand it, InterSystems.Data.CacheClient.dll is only for the .NET framework.

The InterSystems.Data.IRISClient.dll library recommended for the more modern InterSystems.

I need read only access using a JDBC query to the tables that contain the rules data for a particular interface. I'm having difficulty locating the tables that house the rule data and I'm wondering if someone could help me with that information and any sample queries if possible.
