The first developer previews of InterSystems IRIS® data platform, InterSystems IRIS® for Health, and HealthShare® Health Connect 2025.1 have been posted to the WRC developer preview site.  Containers can be found on our container registry and are tagged latest-preview.

These developer previews include the feature to migrate to IBM "Open XL C/C++ for AIX" 17.x compiler ensuring compatibility with future AIX builds as older compilers approach end-of-support. This migration focuses on the aixopenssl30 target, supporting SSL3 on AIX 7.2 and 7.3.

While upgrading old Ensemble and Health Connect applications to V 2024.1 we are installing many webgateways since the private webserver is deprecated.

Configuring the "Default Parameters" we can determine the "Event Log Rotation Size" but not the count of preserved logfiles. So even if the webgateway cuts the logs in pieces they could fill up the disk space entirely for there seems to be no cleanup-job for old logfiles.

What is the recommended way to deal with this situation?

Do I have to create a schduled job on OS-level?

Using a Task in Health Connect would be difficult because Helath C

InterSystems worked closely with the Red Hat Insights team to implement a curated set of recommendations for system administrators to ensure the best experience running InterSystems IRIS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Included with all RHEL subscriptions, the Insights service proactively identifies potential issues with monitored platforms and applications running on RHEL. Through our joint collaboration, Insights now watches for common scenarios that decrease the performance of IRIS in most cases and offers an InterSystems-approved recommendation for consideration.

February 19, 2025 – Alert: SQL Queries Returning Wrong Results

InterSystems has corrected two issues that can cause a small number of SQL queries to return incorrect results. In addition, InterSystems has corrected an inconsistency in date/time datatype handling that may lead to different, unexpected – yet correct – results for existing applications that rely on the earlier, inconsistent behavior.

DP-436825: SQL Queries with Lateral Join May Return Wrong Results

The first issue (DP-436825) only affects SQL queries that use a lateral join, either implicitly or explicitly, on an instance conf

We are trying to create a JWT in order to get oauth2 token from login.microsoftonline.com and then use that token to get key/secret from an Azure Key Vault.

It seemed like it would be quite straightforward by using the Create method of class %Net.JSON.JWT

But already trying to set the first header parameter alg PS256 as specified by https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity-platform/certificate-c… becomes a problem. Just to test, I do this:

set JOSE = {
 "alg""PS256"
}

and then using that and an arbitrary claims as parameters in Create method gives this

You may encounter errors during any point of program execution, and there are several ways to raise and handle these exceptions. In this article, we'll explore how exceptions are handled efficiently in IRIS.

One of the most commonly used return types is %Status, which is used by methods to indicate success or failure. Let's begin by discussing %Status values.

Working with %Status

The %Status return type is used to represent errors or success. Many system methods return %Status when an error occurs. You can create a similar structure for your application errors, or convert to %Status, even w

I have an MDM interface with a DTL that takes OBX:5 and replaces "{\E\rtf" with "{\rtf" and "\X0A\" with nothing.  Most rtf's this works without a problem, some others, it corrupts the document.

Code:

<assign value='..ReplaceStr(..ReplaceStr(source.{OBXgrp(k1).OBX:ObservationValue(1)},"{\E\rtf","{\rtf"),"\X0A\","")' property='target.{OBXgrp(k1).OBX:ObservationValue(1)}' disabled = '0' action='set' />

My question is - anyone know of any other "gotchas" that could possibly need to be replaced or something?

I have tried not doing the replace on anything, and the document shows up in view

Hello,

I'm trying to add another segment to an HL7 MDM message. More specifically OBXgrp(1).OBX. The addition itself works,. When I look at the message in the trace, the segment with the content can be seen. However, it is not displayed as an OBX segment.

Build Map Status = 'ERROR <EnsEDI>ErrMapRequired: Missing required OBXgrp(1) element at segment 6'
'ERROR <EnsEDI>ErrMapSegUnrecog: Unrecognized Segment 6:'' found after segment 5 (TXA)'

Our target system requires a blank ROL segment whenever the ROL segment does not exist in an A08 from our source system.  I'm not sure if this can be done with the DTL gui tools or if some sql or other code is required (coding is not in my wheelhouse).  Here is what I've tried, but this does not yield the "ROL|1|" I'd like to create.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the input message that I'd like to add the ROL segment to:

I am currently experiencing frustration with trying to Authenticate an Active Directory account through JDBC as the Hospital System moves from OnPrem SQL Server to using Azure SQL Server with Microsoft Entra Authentication.

Microsoft cannot give me a straight answer of what is required from a JDBC standpoint to authenticate from a Linux environment.

I am working with WRC, but we are both struggling to find the specific answer for JDBC. If I use my local desktop and JDBC to connect through DBeaver I don't have an issue. So, I am thinking the issue is with not having a java keystore, or keys s

jdbc:sqlserver://<server>:<port>;database=<database name>;trustServerCertificate=true;integratedSecurity=true;authenticationScheme=NTLM;domain=osumc;authentication=NotSpecified

They want to migrate the databases to the Azure Cloud and in doing so we need the Authentication to change to go through Microsoft Entra. I was given the following URL

Not sure there are many that connect to MS SQL to execute queries, stored procedures, etc, but our Healthsystem has many different MS SQL based databases we use within the Interoperability environment for various reasons.

With the push to moving from on-prem to the Cloud we ran into some difficulties with our SQL Gateway connections and knowing how to config them to use Microsoft Entra for Active Directory Authentication.

There are many articles out on the web, but there was not one that could give us the full answer to what we needed to do, and Microsoft wasn’t much help.

Hello,

I hope this is a simple ask..

basically I need to create local files daily at a certain time for example 11:30pm.

1. file name needs to be like  xxx__20250113.txt , the date part should be next day's timestamp with format YYYYMMDD, so I will write about 17 files like that with different names.

2. write a dummy hard coded word for example “Dummy Word” in the file.  the file eventually will be used by other operations to add hl7 message on top of this  in it with the live interface message.

3. this needs to be done every night at 11:45pm

So how am I going to implement this?

Hello,

We are doing the hl7 integration migration from cloverleaf to InterSystems Healthshare.  so I have an application has workflow like below, and I am seeking the suggestion of the workflow in InterSystems HealthConnect cloud version.

The current application has workflow like this.

1. local server has Cron job every night to create about 10 files with specific name and next day's timestamp in file name with a dummy word in it and the files located in local cloverleaf server. pretty much 1 facility per file, file name has facility name and timestamp in it.

2. next day when we have lab r

In your Interoperability Production you could always have a Business Operation that is an HTTP client, that uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication, but you had to customize the Operation for this authentication methodology. Since v2024.3, which was lately released, there is a new capability, providing new settings, to handle this more easily.

We have a customized doctype with iterated PIDgrp, so I have a rule that needs to evaluate the pv1:3.1 value to decide which operation the HL& message should go, so I debugged the value in the rule and it definitely should go to the when #2 but it just won't.  so did I do anything wrong or it is just the InterSystems doesn't like the iteration value here? I only need to evaluate the first pv1:3.1

I'm attempting to streamline a process for renaming PDF documents received from multiple vendors to conform to a specification provided by an EMR vendor for ingestion. Things like Document ID, Document Type, Date of Service, Account Number, MRN, etc. all must be included in the filename at defined offsets and lengths. Most of the required values can be extracted from the inbound file's name and the few remaining are static values that would be the same (or handled via a lookup table based on source) for all documents. The inbound and outbound filenames are essentially fixed-width records with

Question Yuhong Snyder · Jan 7, 2025

Hello,

is it possible to kill/suppress hl7 message in the DTL (data transformation).

in cloverleaf, it is common practice to check the value in message, for example pv1:7.9. if the value is certain word(assigning authority) then send the message over to destination, if it is not, kill the message

how would this be done in InterSystems ? does that need to be done in the rule instead? or can it be done in the data transformation? if it can be done in data transformation, how can it be done?

Thanks

When developing a new Interoperability Production, it is quite natural that settings are initially added in the Production.

However, as soon as you want to move the Production from development to a test or staging environment, it becomes clear that some settings like HTTP Servers, IP addresses and/or ports need to be changed. In order to avoid these settings being overwritten during a redeployment later on, it is essential that you move these settings from the Production to the System Default settings.

Creating System Default settings manually is possible, but will become hard when you have lo
