Hi,

let me apprise you with my problem:

I want to install Ensemble by Unattended Custom Instalation which use my Installation Manifest. It should start from cmd. So I've got everything in .cmd file to start whole installation by only double click. The problem is that I want to set some variables here in .cmd file and use them in Installation Manifest for installation Ensemble. It is about variable with path to some packages which should be imported during instalation.

Hi all, I have released the latest version of VSCode extension for ObjectScript already a month ago, and finally a time for the info about this new release.

So, what's new in the release:

What's new in this version

  • added export setting "objectscript.export.addCategory" if enabled uses the previous behaviour, adds category folder to export folder, disabled by default
  • added Server actions menu, by clicking on server info from status bar. Open Management portal, Class Reference and toggle connection.
  • Class Suggestion in ##class, Extends, As, CompileAfter, DependsOn, PropertyClass
  • $SYSTEM suggestion by Classes from %SYSTEM
  • Import and compile folder or file by context menu in File Explorer
  • Server Explorer, now possible to open any other namespace
  • Macros suggestion

For details how it works now, look further.

There are many projects which work on InterSystems products, and they are not always written only in ObjectScript. I think some of you working with different programming languages and already have some experience with other editors, and hope you already have a favourite online editor.

My current choice is VSCode, whereas you may already know I have added an extension to support ObjectScript.

I need to open a Windows explorer window by pressing button on a Zen page.

Is this possible.?  I

performed a search but I did not find anything.

The command I used in the terminal was  D $zf(-2,"START C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32").

I am not sure how to use this in a Zen application.

Any help will be greatly  appreciated.

If you know the path of a file that exists in the instance's install directory, how can that file be opened and edited in Studio? This file is not saved under the visible directories in Studio ex csp or mgr. For example if you have no access to the server operating system command line, how would you be able to modify a file using Studio?

Hi guys,

I'm curious about the development processes of those of you using Angular.

The starting point is that, somewhere, there lives an Angular project full of (mostly) typescript files.  Eventually, those files need to be built, and the resulting built files served up to a browser.

Hey, developers, I have great news for you. A few days ago, GitHub was updated with the latest version of linguist project, which is being used to recognize source code types in repositories. It helps to determine which programming language had been used in every file of the repository. Repository statistics section shows the results of this module work.

Also  you can search across all available GitHub repositories for any chosen language.

PHP, from the beginning of its time, is renowned (and criticized) for supporting integration with a lot of libraries, as well as with almost all the DB existing on the market. However, for some mysterious reasons, it did not support hierarchical databases on the globals.

Globals are structures for storing hierarchical information. They are somewhat similar to key-value database with the only difference being that the key can be multi-level:

I need to create a healthcare management software for a local blood bank whose branches are spread throughout the USA. The Client has set the condition to use inter systems as the database management.

I am looking to create the app using PHP language and then host it through with VPN so that they all are interconnected. But due to the raise in cyber attacks. The client is seriously concerned about the security of the app thus wants to host it on google dedicated server which is being powered by cloudways.com/en/managed-google-compute-engine.php.

Hi,

recentley we started to work with Atelier & VSTS in our organization .

we are looking for a way to use the VSTS as Our Version/Source control system .

I have read the article about "Continuous Delivery of your InterSystems solution using GitLab" & now trying to find a way to use a similar metodology with the VSTS that we have in our organization.

At the moment I am trying to write a documentation file for a project and intend to use LaTeX for it.
Has anyone already had experience with this? I haven't found syntax highlighting with the LaTeX packages I know yet.
I found a request on Pygment but it was from 2016 and there was no reply on it since then.

Does anyone know a simple way for syntax highlighting COS in LaTeX?
Thanks for your input!

Martin

Good day.

Can you please tell me how to programmatically get a list of DFI files that have been uploaded to the IRIS server?

Since CacheStudio can do this, it means that you can perform this operation from the code.

For earlier, I thank all who are not indifferent to my problem.

Hello All,

I have been associated with Intersystems technologies for over a decade working on Cache, Zen, Ensemble etc.

This is a very niche field and a lovely community. I wanted to extend my hands to connect with people who are of same field or related to it.

Here is my linkedin profile. Pls feel free to send me an invite or drop me a message

I am under the impression that inside HealthShare you can Services, Processes, and Operations. The service takes incoming data, the processes can process that data, and then the operations can send that data out.

I am curious if anyone has any experience, guides, or advice on how I can send data to a service using a Java application. I intend for the data to be in XML format. I am also curious if I succeed at picking up the data in the service, how I send the data back to the Java application using an Operation.

Hi,

I have a permanent job opportunity which would ideally suit someone from Europe who want's to experience the UK (initially London), the requirements are fluent in Cache Objects, SQL, XML, Integration,  English Language and be self motivated with a desire to experience London.

I am NOT a recruitment agency and will offer personal help in relocation and culture differencies to handle moving countries.

I do not offer a relocation package but will offer advice, guidance and help in relocation.

Our PAS system supplies date in a particular date format (ISO 8601 compliant) that includes seconds and milliseconds.  Because many downstream systems cannot handle milliseconds (and some don't even want seconds) many transformations are required to truncate the data.

I recently had to diagnose a networking problem I was having when attached to our corporate network.   I was seeing an unknown bridge network being defined that shared the same IP address space as the company network thus blocking access to company resources.  This bridge network was separate from the Docker0 bridge network which the docker engine sets up.  Docker was configured with a bip (bridge ip) address to prevent docker form using an address space that create a conflict.
