In healthcare, interoperability is the ability of different information technology systems and software applications to communicate, exchange data, and use the information that has been exchanged.

Hi Community!  Today I'd like to share with you a link to some exercises from a workshop about developing REST APIs and how to manage them using InterSystems API Manager.

It includes step by step exercises to:

  • Developing REST APIs from OpenAPI specifications.
  • Adding the created API in an interoperability production (optional).
  • Basic API management in InterSystems API Manager (service, route, auth, consumers, rate limiting, etc.).
  • Some other more complex scenarios in InterSystems API Manager like load balancing, or routing by header.

You will find it all here: https://openexchange.intersystems.c

Hi Community!

I'm sharing a little tool (REST service) to download interoperability messages from your browser.

You only need to:

  1. Create a web application in Management Portal (e.g. /downloadmsg) and set DispatchClass=Util.DownloadMsg.
  2. Call the tool using your browser passing the namespace and the message header id to download. http://localhost:52773/downloadmsg/ns/mydev/msgid/17441
/// 1.Create a webapplication (e.g./// 2.

Question David Reche · Feb 16, 2016

Hello,

I am trying to use %ZEN.proxyObject to send out in JSON format so I do:

    set tProxyRequest = ##class(%ZEN.proxyObject).%New()
    set tProxyRequest.notanumber = "28001"
    set tProxyRequest.aboolean = "true"

    set tBody = ##class(%GlobalCharacterStream).%New()
    do ##class(Ens.Util.JSON).ObjectToJSONStream(tProxyRequest,.tBody,"aelotwu")
    w tBody.Read()

and I get:

{
        "aboolean":"true",
        "notanumber":28001
}

But I want this:

{
        "aboolean":true,
        "notanumber":"28001"
}

Help please !

Hello,

I like to know if we need to have the message in a file to process a Record Map?

I am working with Interoperability Production that processes files /messages using Record Maps. My team was asked to redesign the solution for deployment in AWS. We use containers. We had problems with having multiple containers processing files from the same directory. We are considering Amazon Simple Queue Service instead of having files on a shared file system.

Has anybody migrated a Record Map to a Schema Definition to validate a message as a Virtual Document as I have seen with X12 messages?

Hello developers!

I submitted for the contest a solution that would allow organizing message notifications and providing information to users of the messenger Telegam. This is achieved by creating two bots: an administrator and an informant. The administrator manages the list of users connected to the bot informator and their access rights.

The Solution based on project https://github.com/intersystems-community/TelegramAlerts

During the installation and configuration process, we will create an informant bot and an admin bot, which will allow the informant bot to provide users with the requested

IRIS Interoperability Productions formerly known as Ensemble are fun to work with. Yes, I really think my work is fun. I have seen File Passthrough Services and File Passthrough Operations come in handy. At one point we placed test messages in files, then we utilized a File Passthrough Service with Inbound File Adapter to send the contents of the file as a Stream to a File Passthrough Operation with Outbound TCP Adapter. The Operation pointed at a TCP service and sent the test messages.

Later I wanted to troubleshoot another service that received file contents as the body of HTTP requests.

Update: added support for regression model Hi everyone!

In this brief article, I'll show you how to write an adapter for IRIS Interoperability for use ML models managed by IRIS IntegratedML.

The adapter

The adapter just uses IntegratedML SQL functions PREDICT and PROBABILITY, to get the predicted class from model and its probability. It's just a simple SQL:

Notice that the model name is referenced by Model property.

My team is working on redesigning an Interoperability solution that currently runs on a HealthShare server that is part of a mirror. Most of the messages are delimited records processed using Complex Record Mapping. We were told to utilize cloud services available in AWS, use containers, autoscaling…

Once we figured out how to use Docker, we imported the Health Connect code in multiple containers with a shared Elastic File System with the directory structure we copied from the existing server.

The productions are components developed with InterSystems IRIS Interoperability module to promote integrations between systems, data sources/targets, web services, API, message channels, etc. Productions are composed by:

1) Business services to get/ingest/get data events or requests;

2) Business operations to send or persist data to repositories, systems, API, web services, etc; and

3) BPL - BPEL flows to orchestrate, mediate, compose and route data from business services to business operations.

In this article I will show you how to create a custom business service to get a file from a

I created a Custom Business Service to receive a multipart message with a file and I need to save only the file, not all message. How Can I extract only the file from the pInput to save in a File? This is my code:

Migrate from Java Business Host to PEX

With the release PEX in InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 and InterSystems IRIS for Health 2020.1, customers have a better way to build Java into productions than the Java Business Host. PEX provides a complete set of APIs for building interoperability components and is available in both Java and .NET. The Java Business Host has been deprecated and will be retired in a future release.

Advantages of PEX

  • Allows developers to create any Production component in either Java or .NET
  • More complex message structures can be passed between components
  • Simplified settings
  • Simp

Question Stephen De Gabrielle · Oct 19, 2020

Hi

Has anyone used Health Connect/Ensemble to receive results directly from POCT devices (Glucose monitors etc)?

I've been looking for information on the POCT01-A  protocol, and as far as I can tell it is a HL7v3 XML schema, I should be able to get results from these devices, though I expect I need a webserver endpoint. (though I can't find any reference in the Health Connect documentation)

Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

KR

Stephen

EDIT:  from the silence I'm wondering if this in normally handed off to specialist middleware?

The InterSystems IRIS has an integration engine with these core elements:

1. Adapters: are inbound (data/message input/request) and outbound (data/message output/response)  integration logic specialized in the type of data or message protocol (file, http, etc.). They are the interface to allows connect with source or target data repositories or systems.

2. DTL: is a component to mapping and transform data between two components in the flow orchestration.

3. BPL: is a component executing BPEL language to execute integration/orchestration flow.

4.
