how to restore the backup file from 2015 version to 2017 cache version by using .cbk file

Hi All,

Can you please guide me on how to restore the .cbk file from the 2015 Cache version into the 2017 version or any other versions of Cache or IRIS software? I have a new instance on my server. It's an entirely new server. I have a .cbk backup file. I want to restore the backup file into a new namespace which one I will create on my new server. When I am trying on ^DBREST utility, I am getting "This is not a Cache Backup File" this error.

Please advise on this. It's a bit urgent.

Which one is best way to handle the session(CSP SessionId/OAuth 2.0/EWD)

Hi All,

I want to connect with Python pages from cache database by using Restful API's. I'm not sure which one is best method. I have mentioned below the methods. Please post your thoughts.

1) CSP Session

2) OAuth 2.0(Delegated access)

3) EWD(Enterprise web development)

How to validate the CSP sessionId in another zen pages/restful api's

Hi All,

Actually, I'm developing few restful API's. I want to create a authentication tokens and display it on my login restful API. If I'm using CSP sessionId, how can I validate the session Id's in another or continues restful API's. else, is there any other approach to handle this task.

My Primary goal is, I have to integrate 2 different front end applications. One is Zen framework another one is web pages from Python.

If any lead, it would be appreciated.

Display selected value from drop down list box

Hi Guys,

I would to know, I have a drop down list items in my applications. While, am clicking on the drop down bx, there are few numbers of listed items, while am doing mouse over action, I should display the entire text of selected item from that drop down list box, even am not selecting that item. I would like to know about the what is exact text it contains in Zen framework.

How to create a Storage type with Global format in Cache classes

Hi Guys,

I would like to know, how to setup a global structure in Cache classes storage type.

I want to set a global like below in Cache classes using Storage methods.

Performance in Cache ObjectScript

Hi Guys,

Can you please advise on the below queries.

Query 1:

Example 1:

 S a="345",b="arun",c="kumar",d="hi",e="yello",f="orange"

Example 2:

S a="345"

S b="arun"

S c="kumar"

S d="hi"

S e="yello"

S f="orange"

Can you please advise me, which one is performance wise is better.

Query 2:

Example 2:

Please advise me, which one is giving better performance in this.

CSP/ZEN page session timeout while extracting huge amount of data

Hello All,

While extracting the huge amount of data in the cache through the Zen page, file extraction timing is greater than session time out. How to increase the session timing in Zen/CSP gateway or If any other solution would be appreciated. Please advise.
