go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 15, 2016 No, I think this was a one-off when I replied anonymously on my phone. Comments are not being displayed like this.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 15, 2016 Thanks for the suggestion. Nothing changed in the ordering with this release, it's always been like this. We can update it to be alpha sorting.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 15, 2016 You can easily add comments to the question by clicking the green hyperlink under the article "Add New Comment". Unless this comment is about to become an answer...let's see.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 14, 2016 Thanks Ben. Yes, maybe I should make that more clear.I'm trying to get these published since the updates will be done very early tomorrow (Cambridge MA) time.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 11, 2016 They'll be a post with details when it comes out. It didn't make it for a number of reasons but they are finishing up some UI elements and if the review goes well it will be released Monday.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 10, 2016 Yes. Several things are going on (1) we are going to eventually collapse the groups down to a few selective ones that serve a specific function vs. being product or technology specific. Tagging is a better way to go than the groups, it's more flexible and easier to link in content from other places (2) there will be a list of the core groups on the main page and (3) I've been discussing with Evgeny filtering out the feedback from the home page since it's useful information, but distracting for most people.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 9, 2016 case 'newest': $query->condition('created', REQUEST_TIME - 604800, '>='); break;
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 8, 2016 Ok, I learned some more things about the comment timestamps. Sorting has been adjusted again and now new comments on posts, regardless of the post's age, will bring it to the top of the list. However, this does not alter the "Latest" filter, which only shows new postings from the last week and does not consider new comments on older postings.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 7, 2016 The post detail page is completely redesigned with comments only when it's an "article" and when it's a "question" there can be zero or more "answers" plus the question itself and any of the answers can also be commented on individually.Sneak preview (not finalized GUI but functioning). Two images so a little misaligned.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 7, 2016 Here's a preview of what's coming. Styling is still being tweaked and it's missing a Subscribe/Unsubscribe link. This example is a question...
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 7, 2016 The overwhelming consensus a few weeks back was to have the home page ordered by the latest posts, then posts with the latest comments, DESC. The filters are just doing filtering, not altering the sorting. The "Highest Rated" filter is those postings that are at least 4/5 stars. We might revisit this to make the filtering options sort differently.The next build has a new filter for "Unanswered" which shows all questions that haven't been answered. Each posting in the list will show the rating plus the number of comments and if it's a question, how many answers have been provided.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 7, 2016 Yes, there is usually a posting with what's changed, especially if it's major. There will be one this time. Maybe Evgeny will do a video.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 6, 2016 Thanks for the feedback. There will be another release March 10th and that has a lot of changes, but not breadcrumbs. Breadcrumbs are planned for the March 18th build.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 4, 2016 Next release has an upgraded UI and that icon is replaced with link "Add a comment" so it's very clear now.
go to post Paul Gomez · Mar 4, 2016 The "Newest" button is supposed to be doing MAX(PostDate, LastCommentDate) DESC but doesn't appear to work properly on that message for some reason, but does for others. We will investigate. The UI for post listings will be modified in this upcoming release (next day or two) and it will look and act more like StackOverflow with Articles vs. Questions a new filter just to show unanswered questions.
