Article Peter Steiwer · Nov 26, 2019 3m read Designing valid hierarchies in DeepSee When designing a hierarchy in DeepSee, a child member must have only one parent member. In the case where a child corresponds to two parents, the results can become unreliable. In the case where two similar members exist, their keys must be changed so that they are unique. We will take a look at two examples to see when this happens and how to prevent it. #Analytics #Best Practices #Cubes #Data Model #Tips & Tricks #Caché #InterSystems IRIS #InterSystems IRIS BI (DeepSee) 5 1 0 801

Question Peter Steiwer · Apr 6, 2018 Class storage definition in atelier I am using Atelier + EGit plugins for a project. Is it possible to turn the storage definition off in Atelier so this does not get copied to Git when I make changes? While developing on different versions of the code on different systems, it may cause conflicts and excess noise in the source control history #Git #Object Data Model #InterSystems IRIS 0 6 0 416

Often, there are times where you may know exactly what you are looking to do, and you do not want Analyzer to execute 5 queries as you drag and drop items onto rows/columns and select your filters. This is where toggling Auto-execute off can help. #Analyzer #Beginner #Tips & Tricks #Caché #InterSystems IRIS #InterSystems IRIS BI (DeepSee) 4 0 0 461

Question Peter Steiwer · Dec 8, 2016 Caché vs Cache I see that there is an "Insert Special Character" option from the text editor where "é" can be selected, but would it be possible to create a "Caché" button that inserts the word "Caché"? I can see cases where mixing these words can be confusing. An even more important reason would be searching. If the word "Cache" is used instead of "Caché" in many places, it may be difficult to find information about the "Cache".If a "Caché" button existed, it may encourage the correct spelling to be used. I am not sure if this is a real problem, but I see the possibility of it happening. #Caché 1 2 0 653
