The IRIS Management Portal is localized (translated) for some (many?) languages and the language used by the Management Portal interface is determined by the browser settings, often derived from the OS settings (can be changed).

This means that if a user, like me, want to use ONLY the English version of the Management Portal, each and every time you login you need to change the language. VERY annoying.

I know I can change the language configured in Browser, BUT, I want to use English for the IRIS management portal non for all my internet activity!

I feel uncomfortable using the localized ve

You might know that you can search posts in DC by Tags
starting in left upper  corner   and

that's fine to start. But - based on some local feedback - some improvements
might make is more useful. actual the SELECT works .. IF TAGS CONTAIN %tag
This spams you with a lot of results but often much more than useful
so the suggestions for extensions:

  • ... IF TAGS CONTAINS ONLY %tag   // for 1 specific Tag
  • ... IF TAGS CONTAIN  (%tag1,%tag2,%tag3,...)    // several specific tags
  • ... IF TAGS NOT CONTAIN   (%tag4,%tag5)         // exclude unwanted content

The OpenAPI Specification (OAS) defines a standard, language-agnostic interface to HTTP APIs which allows both humans and computers to discover and understand the capabilities of the service without access to source code, documentation, or through network traffic inspection. When properly defined, a consumer can understand and interact with the remote service with a minimal amount of implementation logic. While for SOAP based APIs there is a special wizard in InterSystems IRIS that cuts down orchestrations development time, not all APIs used in integrations are SOAP. That's why @Jaime Lerga suggested to add a wizard similar to the SOAP wizard to generate a REST client from OpenAPI specification. Implementation of this idea cuts down the development time of the REST API orchestrations with InterSystems IRIS. This idea is one of most popular ideas on the InterSystems ideas. This article, the third in the "Implemented Ideas" series, focuses on the OpenAPI Suite solution developed by @Lorenzo Scalese.

JSON is a lightweight data interchange format for representing and exchanging data between a server and a web application. Its popularity has led to its widespread use in applications based on InterSystems technology, as well as demand for a converter that transforms globals to JSON and back. Therefore, @Evgeny Shvarov suggested developing Global->JSON->Global converter. Implementing such a converter is important to ensure interoperability, simplify data exchange, support web services, and provide a standardized approach to data representation across different software ecosystems. This article, the second in the "Implemented Ideas" series, focuses on several projects created by the legend of InterSystems Developer Community @Robert Cemper that deal with this task:

The %CSP.Login class is the utility class provided by InterSystems IRIS to do custom login pages. If you want to control your IRIS application authentication UI, you must extend %CSP.Login and override some methods according to your needs. This article is going to detail those methods and what you can do with them. In addition to that, you will get an explanation of the delegated authentication mechanism provided by ZAUTHENTICATE.mac routine. Ultimately, you will be able to create customized authentication logic, including the ability to validate existing users in other non-IRIS data repositor

Introduction

Not so long ago, I came across the idea of using Python Class Definition Syntax to create IRIS classes on the InterSystems Ideas Portal. It caught my attention since integrating as many syntaxes as possible gives visibility to InterSystems’s products for programmers with experience in many languages.

The author of that idea pointed out the possibility of creating classes using Python’s syntax, in addition to the currently available ones on IRIS. This concept inspired me to write this article, exploring the possibilities of accessing the full InterSystems power employing only Pyt

Django, a high-level web framework written in Python, has become a staple for developers seeking a robust, efficient, and easy-to-learn solution for building web applications. Its popularity stems from its versatility, offering developers an efficient toolkit for building web applications. Integrating Django with InterSystems IRIS introduces a dynamic synergy, providing developers with a comprehensive web development and database management solution. That's why on the Ideas Portal, @Evgeny Shvarov suggested that having Examples to work with IRIS from Django would be beneficial. In this article, we'll explore two projects created to answer the posted idea — Django-iris by @Dmitry Maslennikov and Iris-size-django by @Heloisa.Paiva.

Hi community!

In this article, I'm excited to introduce my latest application, Journal File Indexer. The development of this application is rooted in the portal idea  DPI-I-270.

In short, this application lets you load and index a log file in a database.

Why?

If you've ever used the log file search function in the management portal, you may have encountered a timeout error or even a blank page. This problem usually occurs when searching a large journal file. Journal File Indexer solves this problem by considerably increasing the speed of searches once the file has been loaded into the database.

Another problem arises during the restoration process. When searching for global entries in a log file to restore old or new values, the management portal doesn't have this specific functionality. A routine must therefore be coded to achieve this. Journal File Indexer comes to the rescue, incorporating a restore function!

Maybe anyone has a working example?

This is what I have tried: (like in the documentation)

I get no messages but tSC is:

tSC="0 "_$lb($lb(8104,"<GATEWAY> java.lang.OutOfMemoryError java.nio.Bits.reserveMemory(Unknown Source) Direct buffer memory",,,,,,,,$lb(,"USER",$lb("e^OnAsStatus+1^%Net.Remote.Exception.1^1","e^AsStatus+1^%Exception.AbstractException.1^1","e^ReceiveMessage+5^%External.Messaging.Client.1^1","e^CreateConsumer+18^myKafka^1","d^^^0","E^^myKafka^0","d^^myKafka^0","E^^myKafka^0","d^^myKafka^0","E^^myKafka^0","d^^myKafka^0","E^^myKafka^0","d^^^0","E^^myKafka^0","d^^^0"))))/* FE
