Question Kurro Lopez · Mar 16

Hi all.

I have a rather strange problem.

I've created a method in Python to create a vector for a vector search. So far, so good.

If I call this method from the terminal, it works correctly:

But if I make this same call from a code block in a Business Process, it gets stuck, doesn't respond, and throws the following error:

Does anyone know what's happening and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance

How to execute a stored procedure in a remote DB2 database?

Hi Everyone,

I want to access a stored procedure in a remote DB2 database. The stored procedure in question is linked and receives a numeric value, returning a cursor with N number of rows. Sometimes the number of rows reaches hundreds of thousands, so I need to apply pagination.

I've been reading about the %ScrollableResultSet library, but it doesn't allow me to call a stored procedure.

Here's part of the code:
Set pValor=12345678
Set callSql="CALL Paquete.ClaseSpRemoto(?)"
Set rs=##class(%ScrollableResultSet).

I set the  ^UnitTestRoot to somewhere and setted the "unitest: enabled" setting in the settings.json file.
But it is not work and can't run. Is't it scan? It is not a problem because i can run it dircetley with ##class(classname).RunTest() and it runs but doesn't contain anyting. The Restresult is exist but it is empty.

Question Attila Toth · Nov 10, 2025

Hello!

I'm trying to create some foreign tables to a PostgreSQL database. In some cases, columns with certain datatypes cannot be consumed by IRIS and the following error is thrown:

[SQLCODE: <-237>:<Schema import for foreign table did not return column metadata>]

[%msg: <Unkown data type returned by external database>]

For example: serial4 typed ID columns are typical examples. Is it possible, what's the best way of resolving these datatypes, which- seemingly- don't have proper JDBC metadata mappings?

Question Don Martin · Sep 5, 2025

We have a task that runs objectscript code to load data into a linked external table.  After upgrading from 2024.1 to 2025.1, the load is throwing an error, with error code -400, and no error message.  The data DOES get loaded into the external table in its entirety, so with no meaningful error message, its hard to determine what the issue is.  The result is the same with and without the USING clause, so don't let that confuse you.

Question Prakash Hinduja · Sep 4, 2025

Hi Everyone, I'm Prakash Hinduja, a financial advisor and consultant. My roots in India now living in Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss). I'm looking for some suggestions on how to get the best performance from Adaptive Analytics 2023.2. I know it uses Adaptive Parallel Execution and automatic aggregates, but I'm curious if you've found any other tips or tricks. For example, are there any specific data modeling choices or system configurations that have worked well for you? I'm trying to make our cubes as responsive as possible. Thanks in advance for any insights!

Question Aaron Laferty · Aug 14, 2025

Hi all,

I’m running into an issue with a %ZEN.Component.tablePane in a Zen page.

We have:

  • A fully styled table with all columns defined
  • A backend query (SearchMessages) that accepts multiple filter parameters
  • A set of input fields at the top of the page for filtering (text, date, and checkboxes)

We’re trying to run the query from a button click using a client-side method (runSearch()) that collects the filter values, sets them as parameters, and calls executeQuery().

The problem is that the table does not update at all Old rows remain, or sometimes nothing appears.

Question Martin Zukal · Jul 30, 2025

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask whether it is possible to run InterSystems API manager (IAM) on OpenShift. Is there some documentation describing how to do it? I was searching the forum as well as the internet and I have not found much unfortunately.

Any hints would be highly appreciated.

Best regards

Question Kanishk Mittal · Jul 28, 2025

We’re building out a data lake in IRIS 2025.1 that aggregates data across multiple business systems and departments. I’m trying to establish best practices for schema design and separation.

Right now, I’m thinking of using a separate schema for each distinct system of record feeding into the data lake - for example, one schema per upstream source system, rather than splitting based on function (e.g. staging, raw, curated). The idea is that this would make it easier to manage source ownership, auditing, and pipeline logic, especially when multiple domains are contributing data.

Question Muehleder Helmut · Jul 24, 2025

Hi,

I tried to create a client for Google Cloud Storage using a private endpoint.

like this:

S client=##class(%Net.Cloud.Storage.Client).%New()

S sc=client.CreateClient("",2,credentialsFile,"",.out,privateEndpoint)

But privateEndpoint seems not to be used when trying to send blob from a file:

D sc.UploadBlobFromFile(bucketname,blobname,filename)

We can see at the firewall that the client still tries to use the public endpoint for GCS.

Even if the private endpoint is definitely reachable.

When we allow the public endpoint in the firewall then it is working as expected.

Is that a bug?

I am testing vectorsearch, while doing so I am trying to paginate my resultset for a "next page" function to give me the first, second, third 15 entries within a table.

For this I have two embedding classes. One with a HNSW Index (vectornomicembedtextlatest), and one without (vectornomicembedtexttest).

Calling SELECT ID,PRIMKEY FROM SQLUser.vectornomicembedtexttest LIMIT 5 OFFSET 1 works fine with the first entry having the rowID of 486448. (I deleted old entries in the beginning and reused the table)

SELECT ID,PRIMKEY FROM SQLUser.

Hello Community,

Is it possible to retrieve/find all the names of subroutines, procedures, or functions from a deployed routine?. in the routine below, how can I extract names like x2 and execsql? I’ve just tried using openId on %RoutineMgr  but it didn’t help.

xdeploy.mac
xdeploy
 quit
x2 ; test1
 write 123
 q
execsql(sql) ; test2
 Set tResult = ##Class(%SQL.Statement).%ExecDirect(,sql)
 Return tResult

Thanks

Hello,

I have a problem with the deployment. When I deploy using the Ens.Deployment.Deploy class, I no longer receive the logs in the terminal. However, the deployment went well, I see it in the history on the portal.

It works on our environment, but not on the client's.

Set tSC = ##class(Ens.Deployment.Deploy).DeployCode(chemin_"GESL_SVCCLI_DEPLOY_CPT-243_V4_0.xml","SVCCLI.ProdClient",1,chemin_"GESL_SVCCLI_DEPLOY_CPT-243_V4_0_rb.xml","L",chemin_"GESL_SVCCLI_DEPLOY_CPT-243_V4_0.log",1,1)

Thank you 🙂

I think I found my solution but I'm trying to understand better why it works. Forgive me as my descriptions here may be scattered but I'm trying to piece the puzzle together.

Scenario: I've found there are times when I make a request using a %Net.HttpRequest object and as I'm debugging and stepping through via the debugger in VSCode, if I try to access an object in the 'variables' menu, sometimes when I click that little expand button it will just spin and never load what's in the object to the viewer.

Hi - I'm refreshing my IRIS instance, now upgraded to 2025.1, and ensuring IPM is installed in each namespace, as well as git-source-control, but in my first attempt I get this error.

Everything else seems to work - but why the error (I'd like to get rid of it) ?

zpm:AULIBRARY>install git-source-control

[AULIBRARY|git-source-control] Initialize START
[AULIBRARY|git-source-control] Initialize SUCCESS
[AULIBRARY|git-source-control] Reload START (C:\InterSystems\IRIS\mgr\Temp\VTigyGg\)
[AULIBRARY|git-source-control] Reload SUCCESS
[git-source-control] Module object refreshed.

Question Mauricio Sthandier · Mar 20, 2025

Hello there 🙋‍♂️,

I'm looking towards a functionality alike Python's difflib, but made with Intersystems products. I already know could embed Python code within IRIS but thought maybe there was a development already done for handling deltas, with a different approach or extra utils.

Even if I find such a library after comparing both might still go with difflib or any other more suitable. Intend to use it for a cross-environment checklist/check tool.

Please find below a sample of HTML rendering computed and made with difflib, with a few lines of code:

thanks ! best regards,

Question James Hipp · Jan 6, 2025

Hello,

I was just trying to get to the bottom of a TLS config - we have an interface with a TLS config that has had 'Server certificate verification' set to 'On', however the cert file specified either did not exist or contained a cert that was expired.

Does anyone know what the behavior is for this typically? I would expect this to not allow traffic on the interface, however this has been working fine for a few years now with an invalid cert specified for 'Server certificate verification' and set to 'On'.
