What is the correct syntax in a merge.cpf file to create a database with its associated resource ?

I’m working with an existing InterSystems IRIS server that hosts several web applications and namespace-specific code and data. I’d like to reverse-engineer the current environment into a %Installer.Manifest file so I can store it in Git and manage its changes.

My goal is to:

• Track the application setup and configuration in version control
• Rebuild environments consistently (namespaces, CSP apps, security roles, etc.)
• Possibly automate deployments later on

I understand that %Installer is declarative and wasn’t necessarily designed to reflect a running system.

We see a lot of TCPIP connection error for few of the components not sure if it is a network glitch at the source/target or is it with us. And most of the times these errors are very transient and vanish on their own and the connection gets re established and the messages get processed. Here is the error we mostly see

We are constantly running into issues where there are billions of Orphaned messages in our system that cause problems, and we have to manually run a cleanup to fix performance issues.

 In the following article about orphaned messages... https://community.intersystems.com/post/ensemble-orphaned-messages it mentions either programmatically eliminating the Orphaned messages or using a Utility like Demo.Util.CleanupSet in ENSDEMO.

I have had it explained to me is basically all messages have to go somewhere, if they aren't then it creates orphaned

We have an HTTP business operation where the messages gets stuck and we had to recycle the operation to resume the processing. We are trying to work around this (for time being until we find the root cause) using below code which should recycle the component.  

Set tSC = ##class(Ens.Director).EnableConfigItem(pConfigItemName,0,1)
Set tSC = ##class(Ens.Director).EnableConfigItem(pConfigItemName,1,1)

However, it did not make any difference. When we manually recycle the operation, it prompts for the force update and we have to force it down. So I tried including Set tSC=##class(Ens.Job).

How to properly connect and run the Grafana with my local IRIS community instance  in Windows machine. I had executed Mr. @Dmitry Maslennikov contianerzied environment from this POST  and it's working pretty. However the Plugin is not yet posted in the Grafana plugin datasource. What is the roadmap to do setup and establish connection same in my local environment . I have read some additional community post for reference

Is there any built-in functionality to send out an email or a text message when a mirror member fails?

I'm at a loss with configuring the IRIS ODBC driver (v02.10) on my Amazon Linux machine, connecting to a REMOTE IRIS backend.  It should be simplified by not requiring a DSN (the app uses a DSN-less connection and generates the connection string).  I have

• Followed the instructions at Defining an ODBC Data Source on UNIX® | Using the InterSystems ODBC Driver | InterSystems IRIS Data Platform 2023.

We are trying to script a High Availability Shutdown/Start script in case we need to fail over to one of our other servers we can be back up within mins. Is there a way to configure the startup procedure to Automatically Stop/Start the JDBC server when shutting down or starting up cache? is there an auto setting we can change?

Hi everyone,

I have an issue when calling Trakcare's webservices using a web application.

The issue is that, the browser is blocking the queries because of the CORS Policy.

In fact, the browser is sending a first HTTP query OPTIONS called "preflight" (in Chrome's developers tools) and Apache server answers with no CORS Control Origin in Header (CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). So the query is blocked and does not reach the Webservices server (IRIS Interoperability).

Trying to identify which records in the %SYS.Audit table are fails.

Eg, as user "WORKER", I run an attempted a grant, the terminal returns:

I'm creating a script to remove an item (component) from the Ensemble production, I know there is a manual way to do it but as there are several components the idea is to use a script to be faster.

I tried using %Delete() and doing a select on Ens.Config.Item, but this ends up generating several errors in production. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this simply?

A question has come up that I am not finding the answer for. Does the daily purge process re-index EnsLib.HL7.SearchTable or other SQL tables?  In looking at the purge process documentation I am not seeing anything that mentions EnsLib.HL7.SearchTable. Do we have to manually constantly re-index tables that we create? For example I created another search table based off of EnsLib.HL7.Search table, will I need to constantly watch this as it grows?

We are trying to track down the source of Orphaned messages and noticed that we are unable to query EnsLib.HL7.Message with any kind of WHERE or ORDER BY clauses in our SQL statement.

I know EnsLib.HL7.Message is a system table, but is there a way we can add additional Indexes to the table to make the query run better/faster without affecting the system?

Hi anyone has created the user roles for UCR pls share details like if we want to create following roles what access rights should be give to each role.

UCR Admin - This user can stop/start productions, can enable/disable services, can run sql queries, can make changes in facility registries, assigning authority and other configuration.

I wanted to reach out and ask the group who is still using the Polymetric Dashboard? You can read about it in this older Community article.

It was created as a sample that is designed to be customized by you, so it is a community supported tool vs. an official InterSystems supported tool.  I've noticed that it hasn't been updated in a while and some of the dependencies have some potential security vulnerabilities.

I have production and workflow on Ensemble, but I need to update instance to IRIS 2018.1.1.

Do you know how to move workflow tasks from Ensemble 2017.1 to IRIS 2018.1.1?

Or maybe you know how to move tasks between two instances? 

Is there a group in or outside of this community for discussion of DTM issues? I am working on a conversion to Caché for a client but in the meantime, he is still live with his DTM system and a system management issue has arisen. The convo:

Client: Do you know how to increase the page limit in MUMPS DTM?  One version of my database I use for one customer is telling me I have reached my page limit.  I have increased the page limit in the database you are reviewing; so I figure there is a setting I am missing.

Me: How did you increase the page limit before?

I was wondering if there was a certain procedure or documentation on securing (Https://) the Web Portal into IRIS/Ensemble?

Currently we are using LDAP Delegated Authentication to access the Web Portal using LDAP. However as more and more emphasis is put on securing applications within networks, I can see Management/Security asking us to make sure that the web portal is more secure.

Maybe I am not looking at the right place for documentation, but is there a Best Practice guide, set of instructions, or Online learning that can help guide me in trying to make our environment more secure?

(I wasn't able to find this in the docs or the Community, so feel free to point me to a reference that I missed)

How can I determine the effective User and Group that will be used when an InterSystems IRIS process is doing file I/O on the file system for UNIX?  Bonus points if you can tell me how to do it from within InterSystems IRIS as well as from the host OS.

You might of seen or might of not seen my earlier post about Exporting a Production from 2018.1 to import it into 2021.1. I was able to get the export working, however I noticed in reviewing the data within the export, our previous Workday XML Schemas that we imported via XSD files were not in the export. When walking through the export process under Message Schema or vDoc Schema I could not find the missing XML Schema structures. Why aren't XML's part of the export process if they are used within the Production?

We are migrating from AIX to Linux and part of our testing is trying to figure the best method to migrate the code. I am trying to export an entire Production, however I keep running into an error...

Error generating export list for production osuwmc.TestClin and all items may not be listed.
ERROR #5002: Cache error: <CLASS DOES NOT EXIST>zgetRecordandComplexMapClasses+34^Ens.Config.Production.1 *(No name)

I went through any Complex Record Maps, and recompiled them but I am still getting the same error

Does anyone know how I can track down this error and the culprit?

I need to pull .zip file and unzip it to access the zip files contained in the archive using the web service call. Can any one suggest is there any option for to get the zip files.

Is there any way (on a Window machine) to rename an installed instance?  I installed my instance as 20201 and now I've upgraded in place to 2020.4 and I would like to change the instance name to be 20204, but I'm not sure how/where/or-even-if-possible to rename the instance.

Am I out of luck, or is this possible?
