Project Overview:

The Clinical Staff Master Data Management (CSMDM) system is a full-stack healthcare integration application built on InterSystems IRIS for Health. It centralizes and standardizes clinical staff metadata into a single authoritative repository, exposed through RESTful CRUD APIs and reusable backend methods.

The platform eliminates fragmented lookup tables and hardcoded mappings that commonly cause errors in HL7 and FHIR integration workflows, ensuring data consistency and interface reliability.

Overview

This web interface is designed to facilitate the management of Data Lookup Tables via a user-friendly web page. It is particularly useful when your lookup table values are large, dynamic, and frequently changing. By granting end-users controlled access to this web interface (read, write, and delete permissions limited to this page), they can efficiently manage lookup table data according to their needs.

The data managed through this interface can be seamlessly utilized in HealthConnect rules or data transformations, eliminating the need for constant manual monitoring and management of the lookup tables and thereby saving significant time.

Note:
If the standard Data Lookup Table does not meet your mapping requirements, you can create a custom table and adapt this web interface along with its supporting class with minimal modifications. Sample class code is available upon request.

Introduction

This guideline provides an overview of how to design and implement a REST API interface for querying patient demographic data from an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system using HealthConnect. The process involves sending a query request with the patient's identification number, retrieving the response from the EPR system, extracting the required patient demographic data from the HL7 message, and sending it as a JSON response to the supplier. I want to share my experience configuring an IIS server to enable secure HTTPs access to HealthShare/HealthConnect.

After installing the “WebServerGateway” and completing the initial setup, I encountered a few issues. Specifically, when trying to log into HealthConnect using HTTPS, the logo didn’t appear, and clicking any buttons didn’t trigger any response. See screenshot below:
