An X12 / 271 message shows "Completed" on the BO. However, it did not reach its destination. I searched for more information on what the error means but, couldn't find much. See error enclosed below. Any idea what it means and how to fix it?

More info...

  • The IOLog Record shows in the Output Data an error... "An error occurred with the web application. It has been logged to system error log (System Operation > System Logs > Application Error Log)."
  • The EDI response shows the same message... "An error occurred with the web application...."
  • I re-sent the message from the BO and it went out

Iris for Health is sending back ACKs back to the vendor for incoming X12 messages but, they are not making it there. Instead, the vendor is getting Reset packets and it seems they are coming out from Iris for Health.

Questions:

  1. Does Iris indeed generates Reset Packets?
  2. What causes Reset Packets to be triggered?
  3. What settings does InterSystems recommend to not send Reset packets?
  4. Are settings needed in the BS to prevent Reset Packets?

I already tried different settings unsuccessfully, and read much of the instructions provided by Intersystems but, we still can't resolve this issue.

What settings do I need to just passthrough an X12 messages from a BS to BO and out the BO without modifying the message?

Currently, we are receiving the X12 messages but, it seems Iris is modifying it by "hiding" some segments like the ISA segment. The message goes out the BO modified and it doesn't reach its destination. Since I just want to pass it through, there is no BP, DTL, or Rule processing the message. Message is received by the BS and sent directly to the BO.

My current settings:

  1. The BS is set as
    • TCP with Class Name: EnsLib.EDI.X12.Service.TCPService
    • Adapter Class Name: En

Hi All,

When resending HL7 messages out, the receiving system rejects the message indicating the "Message Control ID already exists" (see error below). Iris retries resending the same message until the receiving system crashes and the BO disconnects in Iris. I would like to suspend the message when Iris receives that error and move on to the next message. Is this possible? Can it be handled by the BO Reply Code Actions settings? What reply code actions should I use?

The error comes back when using the default Reply Code Actions ':?R=RF,:?E=S,:~=S,:?A=C,:*=S,:I?=W,:T?=C'

Hello,

I need to add an NTE segment after the OBX segment. I'm not a programmer so, I'm hoping to do this on the DTL Editor. Is it possible? If yes, how?

Some ORU messages from my EMR come in to Iris without NTE after the OBX. Thus, I need to add it in Iris For Health.

Thank you!

We will receive an ORM message in Business Service in Iris. From that ORM, an ADT^A31 message will be generated and sent out to the EMR before the ORM message is sent out. The ORM message has to wait until Iris receives an acknowledgement from the EMR indicating the ADT message was received. Then, the ORM message will be sent to the EMR. What do I need to set up to hold the ORM message until the acknowledgement is received?

Thank you!

I need to remove content below, from PID-3/HL7 message, in IRIS. However, I need to keep the content in PID-3.1. For example, I’d need to keep only, “5050532”. Can this be done in Data Transformations? If yes, how?
Thank you!
