Hi Fred,

To better assist you, can you let me know if you are you using the EGit plugin?

Thanks,
Joyce

Hi Eduard,

If you’re asking if Atelier can help you debug the REST API that you’re developing, the answer is yes. Also, for general web application development, we’d encourage you to explore and leverage the web tools that Eclipse provides.

Best,

Joyce

Hi Dmitry,

Please see my replies below:

2. The SQL parser is improved, so you can expect the editing performance to be improved as well.

4. Yes, XData completions will also be added.

Currently we don't have plans to open source Atelier. If you have any feature requests, please feel free to let us know.

Thanks,

Joyce

Hi Orion,

Thanks for your report. This is a known issue; the embedded scripts are not colored currently. It will be fixed in a 1.1 beta update soon. I will keep you updated.

Best,

Joyce

Glad that you figured it out! We had issues of linking files with the correct native editors before, but I just tested with the latest Atelier beta build (1.1.262) and the html files can be opened from the Server Explorer without any problem. If you want to see the most-recent updates, I'd encourage you to add the beta update site as well. If you're interested, please see the Atelier Download page for details.

You're right, Jon. It's a reported issue - Atelier templates do not support auto-insert at the moment. The fix is targeted for Release 1.1.

Hi Jon,

To help me understand the issue, could you take a screenshot and upload it here?

Thanks,

Joyce

Hi Evgeny,

In the Atelier world, the server is a place for you to compile and debug. The source of truth lives on the client side, so we recommend using source control tools to help the team get on the same page. I hope that answers your question!

Joyce

Hi Evgeny,

When you delete a class file in the Atelier Explorer view, the resource will only be removed from your local file system. If you rename a file locally and sync it, the new file will be saved to your server (Refactoring is still under development). But if you want to delete a resource from the server, you need to manually delete it in the Server Explorer view. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Joyce

This won't happen for the released version and we will make sure to advise the existing users to upgrade the kit. Thanks John!

Hi John,

We weren't able to reproduce it. We'd suggest you create a WRC ticket so you can have someone look into this further for you. You might also want to try a clean install of 255 to see if it works.

Best,

Joyce

Hi John,

We tested on both Windows and Mac, but couldn't reproduce. Which version of Eclipse are you using? We suggest you upgrade to Neon and try to update Atelier again.

Best,

Joyce

This is a Mac configuration problem. The longer-lasting solution is to disable the OS X password provider, and you can do this by:

  1. Go to Atelier > Preferences > General > Security > Secure Storage
  2. Under the Password tab uncheck "OS X Keystore Integration" from the list of password providers
  3. Apply changes
  4. Atelier will prompt you to set a Secure Storage password which you will now need to enter each time Atelier is launched

David, please check whether the Eclipse Mars repository is in the list of your active update sites. If not, please add it and install Atelier again. Let me know if it works.

David, could you post the full error message here? If there's a "Details" button, try click it and view the full error tree.

Thanks for trying this out, David. We haven't tested MyEclipse Pro 2015 v2.0, so we need do some investigation. I will keep you updated.

Hi David,

Good news! You can now install the Atelier plug-in in MyEclipse 2016 CI 4. Please try the following steps.

If you see some keybinding conflicts warning in the error log, you can resolve that within the IDE user preferences. Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Joyce

Hi Michal,

Thanks for trying Atelier out! The current version of Atelier supports the workflow of a typical ‎Caché developer, so some of the Ensemble features are not implemented yet. The good news is the sooner we deliver it to the users' hands (like you!), the better we can understand how to improve Atelier. We've heard your request of the "Production View" and Diagram Switch loud and clear, and we will definitely incorporate these in our plan.

I've logged the compilation issue you encountered and will update you once I hear back from the team.

Best,

Joyce

Hi Dale,

As far as I know, it's not yet supported. I will log this request and keep you updated.

Thanks,

Joyce

I agree with Tim, and it's also worth checking the Problems view to see what's going on.
